Every time I go into this location I get sweaty and hives and get anxiety really bad so I no longer go which sucks because I like the home section so much. There are a million people and always only 1 register open with a line wrapped around the store. There are usually 3 or 4 baskets filled to the top with things by the register. The shoes are never on the shelves but on the floor. Every isle has clothes on the ground. The employees are extremely rude and will act like they don't hear you or they are going on break. Years ago I worked here for a total of about 2 weeks so I know where some of the employees and anger come from. My first day I was given a million and 1 jobs, no training at all. One of the jobs was to take all of the packs of 3 or so men's shirts that had been ripped open by customers for whatever reason, put them on a hanger and put a price tag on them. People ripped these open when the exact same shirts were hanging up directly next to the packaged ones. I also had to stop a lot to grab the rack of clothing from the dressing room and put everything back up, carry hangers with me everywhere to pick up clothing people would just drop on the floor and sometimes kick under the racks if they didn't like it. I had a few crazy experiences where grown women would look me directly in the eye with my stack of hangers and exhaustion on my face and just drop clothing on the ground. I had to pick up the toy section all of the time because parents would drop their children off there as a babysitter so they could go shop alone. And the shoe section..... the shoe racks were always empty because people threw them on the ground and detached them so it took so long to find a pair. There were a few of us where this was our day. Every day. One register open, furious waiting customers, children running around breaking things and yanking things off of shelves, trying to keep up with making the store look nice from rude customers just throwing things on the ground. There were 4 or 5 people that had worked there a long time that would stand around, go to the break area and hang out or go to the back where the shipments came in. They would get angry if you weren't able to do something as fast as they wanted it done but would not dare to help out. I could not take it. Every time I go to this location I feel as though I am trapped and the walls are closing in and I am suffocating and I now just avoid the place. There is a Marshall's a few stores down. As a former employee and as a former customer I do not like this place and I think they should ask Marshall's for some tips on how it...
Read moreTerrible customer service. Recently moved to this area and unfortunately this seems to be the normal at most stores. I came in a few days ago and was going to purchase a piece of furniture that was marked down 50% off. I took the sticker to the register and realized it wouldn’t fit in my car. The associate helping me said they only do holds for an hour even after purchase so I asked her to make sure the sticker made it back to the piece of furniture because I’d be coming back the next day and I didn’t want to be in a situation where it gets marked up. Sure enough, I go back the next day and it’s double the price. I asked to speak to a manager. Explained the situation, and the girl who helped the day before was there and remembered the tag being 50% off. They refused to honor the price because she didn’t see the tag herself. I’ve been in management for 12 years and when you have a customer and an employee telling you what the price is, you honor it. In addition to that this location has a rude woman at the front as their loss prevention who makes you open every bag as you leave and you have to hand her your receipt. This is not a location that has self checkout so there’s literally NO WAY to steal if you are walking out with ROSS bags. Check the people who don’t have shopping bags!!!!! Today I bought a weight and had two bags. She was checking someone else’s so I proceed to walk and she screamed bag check. I turned around and she told me to open the bag and I replied that she could open it herself because it was heavy and a weight and she just watched me checkout. She said ‘just go’. It’s literally ROSS. Checking peoples ROSS shopping bags is ridiculous When there’s no self checkout or way to steal items in ROSS SHOPPING BAGS! As they’re given at the register. Receipt checking, fine I get it, but forcing customers to open their shopping bags? Seriously? You stand at the front and watch customers checkout. Also, went to my usual Ross and found the same bench. Told them my story when I was checking out and they gave it to...
Read moreI found absolutely everything I wanted.when I get up to check out.Heh.This was a joke. The girl standing up there swearing like nothing. Then she messed up and my whole order had to be rerung.Shes angry I find it pathetic that she is complaining.I just left psychical therapy I'm tired as it is.Now I've been in there for a long time shopping looking and finding everything I need.Did I mention my total was $450. Well I asked manager for a discount anything would have been fine by me.It was the principal.Oh no the so called manager said he couldn't give a discount.Only for senior citizens.I couldn't believe a manager, would not be willing to satisfy me.The customer. He claimed he would deal with the situation. But he would not give me a discount for "no reason" I didn't even get an apology for the lack of respect or unprofessional behavior of the cashier. When he said he would deal with that situation she smirked at him.He wasn't and isn't going to do nothing.I told them they could keep the basket of stuff and left.Im very angry because I left without all the stuff I spent so much time shopping for.My experience was awful. She even double charged me for items .I thought man this chick shouldn't be working here.Or with people period. And the manager well he needs to take a refresher course in customer service. If I could give 0 stars I would.Ross you need to hire better employees. If they are this bad now Wow!Wait till after thanks ginger and during Christmas. Way to lose a $450.00 Sale and a customer for life over incompetence....
