Pillow Talk is a dessert-focused restaurant that delights with its creative and beautifully crafted sweet treats. Among the dishes I tried, the "Pink Lover" stood out with its delicate layers of raspberry jelly, lychee mousse, rose mousse, and chiffon cake, all topped with fresh raspberries. It’s not only visually appealing but also offers a refreshing and well-balanced mix of flavors.
The "Taro" dessert was another highlight, featuring layers of smooth taro mousse, light chantilly cream, and ube chiffon cake. This combination provided a unique taste that was both rich and satisfying.
For a beverage, I tried the Ube Latte, which is a cold blend of ube, espresso, and milk. This drink was surprisingly refreshing, with the earthy flavor of ube blending perfectly with the robust espresso, creating a creamy and indulgent experience.
I sampled the Okonomiyaki, a savory option at this dessert-centric spot. It was a flavorful Japanese pancake with bacon, egg, and cabbage, topped with mayonnaise and dashi. This dish provided a nice contrast to the sweeter offerings and was deliciously satisfying.
Overall, Pillow Talk provides a wonderful experience for those looking to indulge in unique desserts and drinks, all served in a charming setting that enhances the overall enjoyment...
Read moreParking in pasadena is difficult as always (at the shop). We took it to arlington garden to eat afterwards... short drive to the park but free parking and plenty of seats with shade. No weird bugs attacked us while eating. Afterwards, we drove down to lower arroyo park (free parking) for an adventurous hike under the freeway bridge.
Food/Taste/Flavor: 5/5 - guaca-mango sandwich felt buttery from the guacamole and the mango made it refreshing with the sweetness and slight tartness. Would definitely recommend! Okonomiyaki sandwich was savory and always enjoy the bonito flakes. It’s one sandwich sliced into three but the presentation was amazing. The matcha yuzu cake was great and really loved that it wasn’t too sweet. The two gold flakes were interesting but almost… plastic like when eating
Ambience: 5/5 - novelty shop with really cute packaging and presentation ideas
Service: 4/5 - greeted immediately and the cashier was pleasant. Told it would be about 5 minute wait but was closer to 15
Value for price: 3/5 - can understand the cake price around $7 -$8 with the container but the sandwiches were a bit pricey...

We were warmly greeted by a young female staff. It was our first time here. They have a modest menu of coffee, juices, mini cakes and egg sandwiches. I had an Egg Heaven and Iced Honeycomb Latte. The sandwich tastes good and the latte was refreshing.
They have a plethora of hand crafted mini cake desserts with ostentatious decorations. Prices are fair and competitive. Plenty of street parking. Staff were cordial and professional. Service was on point. Overall, I enjoyed their food and drink and service. I will definitely come back and try their desserts. I recommend this...
