I went into the Pasadena location on 4/29/25 at 11am and had the most unpleasant experience with the manager. I was ordering drinks for my staff at a preschool, and had 11 drinks to order. The young lady at the counter started taking my order and was quite quick and accurate with it. When she was almost finished, the manager (I'm assuming) came up and said to her "what are you doing? no more than 6 orders per person on Tuesdays!" She then scolded her several times while my drinks were being prepared. Asked if I had brought a box to carry them in, then rolled her eyes because I had not (who does that?). Then told ME that I can't order more than 6 drinks at a time. I checked the catering option and the minimum is 15 drinks - I only needed 11. Nowhere on the website or in the store does it state this policy. What are you supposed to do if you want to order between 7 and 14 drinks?! I asked the manager her name, and her response was "Why??" I said "Because you're so rude and I'd like to remember you." She refused to give me her name, but was able to tell me again that I can't order more than 6 drinks. The drinks were actually ready quite quickly (within 10 mins) and I don't think it delayed them too much. I was just shocked at this lady's meanness. I don't ever have to see her again (won't be going back there), but I feel bad for the poor employees working under her. She made everyone extremely uncomfortable - the employees, myself, and the other customers...
Read moreThis was my first time coming to T Pumps. I usually like my tea plain with no sugar. SInce yesterday it was super hot, I decided to get a tea with more flavor. I actually was looking for a watermelon drink. First coming in my impression of inside the place is very crowded with things, not very clean. I was greeted by the friendly employee. He quickly grabbed a cup as he greeded me. I never been there so, I asked the employee what he recommended and he must be a mind reader because, he interrupt me in the midst of what I was saying and told me all customer's favorites were listed on the wall. Maybe he's tired of the same question, but I find it really rude. He doesn't have to hurry there was no one behind me. Even if there was a line, you don't do that to anyone. He did inform me I can mix cherry with my watermelon because that's what others have done. I just wanted watermelon. As my husband paid, I noticed they carry a larger drink called the Plumpo, something like that. So, I told the employee that I wanted the larger size. That's when the employee had to stop the others making my drink because now I want a large. He should've inform me about sizing of my drink before hand since this was my first time going there. My husband had to ask for his receipt. As for the drink, it was ok if, you like syrup flavored water. That wasn't tea. If you're between the ages of 7 and 22 you might like this place. I ended up going to Pete's...
Read moreThis tea spot has decent drinks. The tea is nothing amazing, but they do have various options and combinations for novel drinks. They also have options for milk and milk substitutes for those looking for it (I believe it's Soy, Almond, non-dairy creamer, and Whole). And if you go a route that is NOT non-dairy creamer, it's an extra dollar. Most their options for flavoring, (for instance I prefer the Rose Vanilla Milk Green tea with boba) come in the form of the sugary pumps. So if you are trying to be conscientious about what you ingest, consider this. However, the drinks in my experience haven't been very consistent. As of my recent purchases, the drinks taste more watery than substantial with a mixed drink. The boba also isn't anything to die for, so I'm not sure what happened since my first taste there that made me fall in love with it.
To top it off, most times there is a large line of kids outside. At times, I and my wife had to wait 30 mins to 1 hour before we ordered and then a couple more minutes to get our drink.
The workers are very nice and helpful, and they'll wipe down your cup before giving it to you, so they have good etiquette.
Although not a bad place, at this point, I might recommend people to another teaspot...
