Sarita's — Restaurant in Pasadena

I came to Sarita's on 4th of July for the first time, as some one had sent me a Tik Tok video of Los Tacos De Trompo. As i walked in with my two year old , we were greeted and told we could sit anywhere. I looked over there small menu and ordered a side of fries with bistec meat for my son and the trompo tacos for me and 2 limonadas. We got our drinks pretty fast but after that the waitress never came back to check on us. I notice some people coming in about 10 minutes after me(mind you the place was pretty empty) long story short. The people that came after me received their food while, my son and I still haven't received our meals. By this time, 30 min had already past. So i got up and told them to cancelled my order. Funny thing was that i wasn't asked why i wanted to cancel. If anything the cashier looked dumbfounded, I offer to pay for at least my drinks and they sure did charge me lol. Said I would give it a one star. It has nothing seriously bad just the overall experience was not what I expected. The food was bland I order cheese enchiladas and my plate was so small that looked like they ran out of adult plates and tried to fit it on a kids plate. My girlfriend said she enjoyed her food but that it was bland and she likes it like that lol older senior type food taste imo. We got our water refilled every few min because you seriously can only take a sip and instantly be out of water.. lol big glass cup sure but the glass so think that it leaves no room for the drink. In the end we couldn't pay the check because the waitress disappeared so we tried to pay at the front but was told we couldn't . Then the manager helped us to pay.. so ya that was...

Aye..where to start. 1. The plates on the menu are soooo MUCH bigger and fuller than the plate you're actually served. The photo had eggs, potatoes and beans. It was the smallest serving of potatoes (¼ of a cup) I've ever seen for a breakfast plate costing 10.00. I counted 8 small pieces of potato. Don't be fooled with the pictures, you will receive a much smaller portion. 2. I agree with most of the reviews, the food is a bit bland. I added salt & lime to help. 3. If you pay with card, they tack on a 3.5 "convenience fee" I deducted it from my total because I'm not paying you for what the credit card company/bank charges you.
