Very Bad service. I bought a Dash Cam in 2022. Someone named Cory installed it. He talks very rapidly. I could barely understand him. But I put up with him and did my best to try to understand him. I paid a substantial amount of money for the installation service.
My Dash cam stopped working a few months ago. I called the store. The first person with whom I spoke, Arron, was very helpful. He found my purchase receipt from 2022 and emailed me a copy.
I think asked Arron to put me in touch with the service Department so that I can set up an appointment. He forwarded the call to the service dept. Cory answered the phone. He identified himself. He was talking so rapidly that I could not understand him. I said "I am sorry, I did not understand you." Corey did not try to talk more clearly. He had the audacity to hang up the phone on me! (No, he would not have known it was me. A long time had passed since he installed my dash camera).
I tried calling back about 5 or 6 times that same day. No one picked up my call. I then had to put this matter on the back burned because of other demands in my life.
I just tried to call Best Buy in Pasadena after having this on the back burner for several months. I spoke to live chat. After several minutes of explaining myself, live chat said they were sorry they could not help. Then I tried calling the store several times. Each time I was put into some automated system. I spent over an hour. I called back several times trying to get through to a live person. When I finally got a live person, the person said he was from Asia. He could barely speak English. He did not understand or empathize with my frustration. He did not help. He just took my number and said he would have someone call me back.
I need my dash cam to work. I need to feel safe when driving. It is impossible to get through to the Pasadena store. Prior to purchasing the dash cam in Pasadena, I drove to 2 other Best Buy stores who said they did not sell dash cams.
This has not been a good experience. I do not recommend buying anything from Best Buy. It is impossible to get hold of them. You get put into an automated system and are never able to speak to a live person. It feels like once you purchase a product, they no longer care about...
Read moreHands Down is the worst experience I have ever had with a retail store. The pictures are of the "professional install" I paid them to do. They left all the wires showing and when I asked about the it, the employee said "if you don't like it, you can have someone else do it". I asked for a manager and they told me there wasn't one. I contacted customer service, who said they would have a manager call me. No one called me. I had to repeatedly call customer service, who said they would have another tech redo the install correctly. I arrive for the services and they tell me they can not do the service based on my vehicle. Iaskedk for a refund and was told no. Iaskedk for a manage, and they brought me a supervisor who looked me right in the eye and said I could not have a refund because they did install it. I sai, Look at all the wires, you're telling me that is acceptable? He said there was nothing he could do. I asked for the store managers name and the district managers name so I could follow up. They told me they are not allowed to give me their managers' names but someone would call me. I left and called customer service. After a few days of customer service calls with no follow-up on their end, I finally got a customer service rep who connected me to another in store supervisor. He asked me why I wanted to speak to the district manager. I told him a refund. He said a refund? Did my team remove everything since they installed it. I said no, all the wires are still hanging there if he would like to see them. At that point, it made sense to him to contact his District Manager to call me. It took a few days, but the DM...
Read moreI must say I have been bringing my computers here whenever they misbehaved. But my experiences have been very negative. The worst of the worst was when I found my computer infected with add-ware. I took it to them trusting they could take care of the problem -- not so. On the work order the tech person asked me to X a box at the bottom of a lengthy page.
LITTLE DID I KNOW that I had just given them authorization to put the computer back to "square one" right after it was born. Lost all my data, music, photos etc. That was not explained to me or I would have not signed for that disaster! Which I had to pay for. Fortunately, I had a hard drive backup that brought it up to only the last year. But I still spent months reconstructing my iTunes from an iPod which fortunately showed what had been deleted.
Next and last I asked them to back up my computer from one of their own backup drives -- paid $100 (later refunded) and they only backed up at the most 1/5 of my computer contents. Since then I have used a private computer repair man WHO KNOWS WHAT HE IS DOING and I can watch him in the process, unlike the "secrecy" of the 'wall' at BB. They lost this customer -- I even lately removed their "stickers" from my...
