ASIAN PARADISE — Restaurant in Pass Christian

I made my visit to Asian Paradise on Tuesday night 2/8/2022. Asian Paradise is a great place to visit after a long day. I enjoy how it provides me with calmness, relaxation while eating great food. I love the location of this restaurant. You can talk a walk down town and end your night with a great meal. My favorite part about this restaurant is the music. It helps me to de-stress and just take in the moment with my Fiancé. If the music is off while visiting, ask the staff they are very nice and don’t mind turning it off. It’s a nice experience to have if you are wanting a nice intimate, quiet time.

I ordered the General Tso’s Chicken with friend rice and spring rolls. The chicken was cooked to perfection. Not too soft and not too hard. I enjoy a little crunch. My fiancé ordered the Human Double Delight with no beef extra shrimp, vegetables on the side. His input was that he enjoyed the flavor of the sauce they used and the portion size was just enough.

What a gem! My friend recommended it to my wife, and we ate there for the first time last night. The menu is much the same as you will find in restaurants that serve Chinese and Japanese cuisine, but the presentation and quality far exceeded the ordinary. It compares to many of the finer Asian restaurants I've experienced.

The steamed shumai was wonderful. The hot and sour soup was the slightest bit thick, but it had a great flavor; and the fried wontons were made in the kitchen not long before being served. The Singapore Mei Fun was spot on, and the Happy Family was chocked full of large, perfectly cooked shrimp and large pieces of succulent lobster. Add a Sopporo draft, and the bill was still only $46. I managed to dine in after hearing several people Rav about the quality of food and service. I must say on 15 Aug 2025, during my visit I was sorely disappointed in both the food and the service. The food had a lot to be desired and the service was definitely substandard. Maybe I’m being too picky, but when the staff comes to the table where I was sitting and literally threw a men down on the table and immediately asked if I know what I wanted. I firmly believe that the staff working that day, sincerely need to learn to pick up their feet when they walk. In a nutshell, I don’t think I’ll be doing business...
