First time coming to this coffee shop since moving to town I came here to work on my dissertation. When I ordered they told me all the tables inside were full. I said that’s fine and if one opens up can I switch. They said yes. As I was waiting for my coffee a table opened up and I asked the bus person if I could sit and he said yes. I start to set up my computer and am informed that I am sitting at a community table and can I move to a two person table downstairs now and when a table opens up upstairs can I move up there as “we don’t like laptops downstairs”. I said that is fine and it’s no problem. About five minutes later I am informed that there is no table upstairs but they need me to move outside (during a heat advisory) so that a mother and her two young children can have my table. At this point I pack up and ask for a to go cup. I came here on a recommendation from my spouse and his work crew. It is a really cute little coffee shop and book store. The ambiance they are going for is obviously one of a community watering hole and that’s great, they should put a sign on the door that says if you’re alone order to go. I would have loved to have hung out here with my spouse and two young children but I came here to work. If you’re looking for a place to study, work, or even start that new book you just bought, look somewhere else because...

Stopped in on a dreary, misty, & cold late morning, simply wanting a coffee to warm my bones and spirits. The coffee ( a "Mississippi" something or other) did, just that!

However, the atmosphere and staff took center stage, sweeping me into a place so warm and cozy, honestly, beyond the coffee and scone meeting expectations, I remember little else regarding their consumption.

Pardon the cliche, but the cashier was a delightful ray of sunshine on a rainy day while one of the Co-owner's was floating about, mingling with customers, doling out even more sunshine.

This little hideaway has a very eclectic offering of uniquely "Southern" literature. I was completely lost in the presentation of so many Southern authors, spanning such diverse subjects, I wasn't certain that what I was witnessing was true reality. Needless to say, I left the little coffee shop with not only a coffee and a scone, but also with an unexpected arm-load of books.

Although Scenic Hwy 90 separates the coffee shop from the beach, the views of the beach & gulf are unobstructed by any buildings or commercialization and are beautiful.

Don't miss this little treasure on your next trip to the...

Yesterday, my Fiancé and I stumbled on this beautiful jewel which I am happy we did. Walking in we greeted with the amazing smell of coffee and a variety of books to choose from. I instantly feel in love with the atmosphere. The young lady that took my order was patient to allow us to look over the menu and she made a point to go over any thing that we had questions about. I ordered the Carmel Macchiato with Almond Milk and it was delicious. They have your usual coffee choices but it was good to see them bring their very own “signature” coffee. I can not wait to return so that I can try their food. This is a perfect place to go to if you like books, coffee and a beautiful beach setting. Below I took pictures, I don’t think the pictures I took does this place justice, also due to others enjoying their morning I wanted to be respectful of their time, space and privacy. I still would like to give you a peak inside. They also have a beautiful outside sitting area, that I can’t wait to experience in the Spring. I was too cold yesterday. I hope this helps.

This place was great! I had never been in this town before, and ChatGPT recommended this place. After an unpleasant experience in a nearby area, I decided to come here and read my book. The staff were super friendly, and the atmosphere was peaceful and adorable. I sat on the second floor as most of the tables downstairs and outside were taken. That worked out perfectly as I was able to eat, read my book, and look out the window at the perfectly blue sky. My sandwich and coffee were fantastic!! It was lunchtime, so it wasn't a breakfast sandwich and I can't remember which one I had. I came right in time because all of the other tables upstairs were taken shortly after I arrived. I will definitely visit this place again if I'm in the area.
