Roberts Place Café has been on my list to visit after a friend recently told my best friend and I about how he had discovered it when he had been in Pass Christian and at the Robin’s Nest (next door)
My best friend and I stopped in yesterday morning for breakfast & from the moment we walked in- it didn’t feel so much like a cafe, rather walking through the doors of a place that felt like home.
From the scents of breakfast wafting through each room, being greeted with genuine friendliness and smiles, to the walls beautifully adorned with precious moments throughout the Roberts family lives- the warmth and love shines throughout.
We were seated in Momma’s room- which for me, having never been there gave me a feeling of being in a place filled with love, grace and gratitude. It’s difficult to put into words, simply something that needs to be experienced to understand.
We had pancakes (with honey butter), biscuit with sausage gravy and grits.
It was all delicious and again- felt like being with family for a Southern Saturday morning breakfast.
I can’t wait to return again. When I am home on the coast- this first visit became an instant tradition!
Thank you for your hospitality & the delicious meal. I hope everyone who enters the doors experiences Roberts Place the way we...

Bias said, the restaurant is perfect for an average of 1-8 people in a single sitting with room for more and occasional outdoor seating. The place is likely to remind you of your grandparents house growing up and personally to me it's a plus but I can see it's not for every as a Half Historical site. Staff is small so you always have our fullest attention, we are black woman owned if that's a bonus for you and the daughter/granddaughter of both Colonel Roberts in the Air Force of history is your bonus with nothing but love for everyone with our accidentally super diverse staff. In and out time from seating to leaving can be less than 10-15 at the minimal with takeout options able to be placed for your preferred time. I eat the food plenty and attest...it's pretty dang solid, our cook is one of the most experienced chefs I've ever encountered and can accommodate for various tastes and diets even if the least we can do is inform you of all the ingredients in our dish and on the average make your meal just the way you like it. If you wanna treat a fine lad or lady to a brunch or spend some quality family time with the folks Roberts Cafe is definitely one of the most local spots that frankly...the locals don't even know we exist 😉 C'mon in anytime...
Read moreI had an early morning appointment in Pass Christian so I thought I’d have some breakfast. I’m so glad I picked Roberts Place Cafe. This delightful spot has charm, great food and service. I went for the shrimp & grits and it was great. Cheese grits were delicious and there was generous portion of tasty Shrimp. The atmosphere was unique in that it was a converted house with separate rooms. Lots of family pictures and interesting artifacts on display about the Roberts’ Family - amazing people.
The waitress was delightful and I spoke with the owner Dorothy Roberts on the way out. I love all the locally owned restaurants we have that offer outstanding food and service.
I’ll be back for lunch and I highly recommend you dine here -...
