Used to come here pre pandemic a lot. Hadn’t been for over a year and a half. My daughter took me for my birthday Friday night. Was kind of glad to see that AYCE snow crab legs were now an extra as people used to line up and the first 2 people in line would take them all. So we paid the additional 8.99 for a pound of snow crab legs to be delivered to our table (about the same price as if I purchased from my local supermarket.) It took a very long time for them to come out, and I had to ask if they were actually bringing them, so I had eaten a bit of the other foods at the buffet first. Unfortunately I could not finish my whole pound of crab legs. I asked for a bag to take them home (after all, I paid extra for the pound.) I was told I could not take them home unless I paid 25 dollars a pound! What? My daughter and I spent just shy of $80 on our meal, and the crab legs were not AYCE, I paid extra for them. This makes no sense to me. I understand when you pay an AYCE price, you can’t take anything home with you, but when you pay the listed price for 1 lb of crab legs in addition to the buffet price, this should not be. We won’t be going back because when I asked them what they do with the uneaten crab legs that I paid extra for, they said they throw them away! Waste of food and waste of my time and my daughter’s money! Happy...
Read moreRestaurants only opened indoor dining a couple weeks ago. My buddy wanted to have dinner as we haven't seen each other since pre-Covid. He suggested this place as he is a bit of a buffet connoisseur and it was still pretty close to home. I love how thorough they were in regards to the precautions they were taking. Scanned temperatures as we were being seated, asked us to keep our masks on as we walked the restaurant, and gave us gloves to use while serving. The wait staff was on point with a constant rotation of people offering to remove plates, refill drinks, etc. The (I'm assuming) manager came by and asked how we were, how the food was, and offered to have anything freshly made if we wanted it. Really, their service was so excellent it's propping up this rating. My only complaint was the food. I'm not too heavy handed when it comes to buffets and try to keep it simple when I eat. Meat, veggies, maybe some pasta/rice and of course, ice cream. The steak I received was fine, albeit absolutely soaked in butter. The vegetables were not as tasty as I hoped. And my noodles were a bit dry for my taste. I, maybe, should have asked for freshly made, since it was being offered. All the negative being said, the experience alone was wonderful. Really, it's enough for me to come back and give them more...
Read moreHonestly at first, I was put off by the $33.99/per person for weekend dinner, but it really was worth it. Food was delicious and so much seafood. Seafood is expensive, so the amount I ate definitely more than made up for it lol. Plus it's BYOB. I don't know what people are talking about the food being cold, it's literally being heated the whole time it's out there, everything was hot.
The server was nice enough, and they kept coming to take our used plates. Only things I didn't like was that the clams and mussels, while tasty, weren't cooked properly and I couldn't chew through them and had to spit out a bunch. The sushi was really bad so I wouldn't eat that there. Everything else was delicious. Oh and for some reason, they don't give you wine glasses or any glasses for that matter, but bring you metal glasses instead for alcohol and with water. That was quite ridiculous and trashy of them to do. Other than that, definitely enjoyed everything and will be coming back.
*Update" Went back a couple weeks later. This time we got normal glasses and they had wine glasses too. Wonder if it was my review that made the change happen lol but probably a coincidence. Also, they had more sushi choices and this time it was...
