Zakir's Bakery Sweets & Restaurant — Restaurant in Paterson

Food: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Food is excellent. Reminds me of Bangladesh town in the Bronx. Vegetable samosa (singhara) needs some salt. Chicken patty (puff) needs more filling (hardly 2 small pieces of chicken in them. Chicken biryani was delicious. Tandoori chicken was good as well. None of them were served with condiments (sad). The best of all is the Chai, it was spot on.

Service: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Upon arrival the cashier didn't greet or welcome, however, the server was welcoming. The server was able to speak in English and Hindi which was nice. He was patient and answered all the questions. On purpose I asked the server to pack different things randomly to see his service and he was impeccable. Good customer service.

Giving two stars as they had decent Bengali mishti. Not at all close to what you get back home but we went for the love for Bengali. The snacks were not good at all. The place is dingy and dirty. The young gentleman at the counter is very cold. The old gentleman is very warm. Go if you are missing bengal but not a good environment. We took tea which was good and sweets were ok. If there is star below one i would give it. went to the bakery about 4 20 pm on january 01/19/2020. it lookes real dirty food was dry . dirty plated cup napking all over the tabled . i donno their table ever wipes out. the man works at front wasnt polite kinda rude . i asked him for tea three times he was on the phone so took almos t 20 mnts for the tea. there wasnt any trash cans to throw thrash. no restrooms. floor was dirty. will never...
