Tio's Mexican Restaurant and Cantina — Restaurant in Pauls Valley

If I could give a negative star I would. Ordered fajitas for 2. First thing that stumped me was we were asked if we wanted cheese and sour cream, or guacamole or queso. (Any place I have been serves a small amount of each on a bed of lettuce). We get our food and it's not what we ordered. We wanted steak, shrimp, and chicken. There was no shrimp. There was a pile of almost raw peppers and onions covering the meat. We moved them and you could see it was a chicken breast and they had diced it on the plate. Same for the so called steak. Neither of them had the same seasoning and the onions and peppers had none. We both ate enough bites to get something in our stomach. Waited on our waitress to bring us a Togo box. She never came back to our table after bringing our food. My husband seen a stack of boxes and grabbed his own. When we walked to the register to leave our server appeared like magic. So If you were that waitress today around 3pm 9/14/23 who got a $1 tip, I hope you know why. My husband wanted to leave zero but I figured a dollar would let you know you were in the wrong . My wife n i had been wanting to try this place for quite some time and we finally got the chance to go today. What a disappointment! First off queso was not offered with the chips. Instead we were asked what size we wanted (sm or LG) so we could be charged accordingly. Idk what that was but it wasn't queso, tasted more like cheese from a can. We had been waiting for over 30 minutes and still no food. So I told them to cancel my order. The waitress looked at my wife like she was crazy told my wife to hold on n disappeared into the kitchen. So i got up left $5 on the table for my overpriced watered down sweet tea that wasn't sweet at all and walked out. I've never walked out of a restaurant in this manner ever in my life so that should tell y'all something. They don't deserve any stars but I want this to be counted...

Ordered fajitas came out on a cold porcelain plate consisting of 6 small strips of chicken and maybe half green pepper, rice and beans all on 1 small plate with a side dish of guacamole, no tortillas. When another waitress walked by I had to ask for some tortillas, all for $14.99. Everyone of the employees were American working in a Mexican restaurant. I think they need to hire a Mexican cook at least that knows how to serve Mexican food. We eat at a lot of Mexican restaurant and when we order fajitas you ALWAYS hear and smell them long before you see them cause they come out on a red hot cast iron plate, not a small cold porcelain plate, with plenty of meat, red and green peppers, and a side plate of pico degallo, rice and beans, sour cream and guacamole with steaming...
