I visited this place last night with an excitement for trying something new. However, I must express my disappointment with the overall experience. My partner and I ordered dishes, but they turned out to be completely different from what was listed on the menu. While I understand mistakes happen, taste is usually the ultimate decider for me, and unfortunately, the food fell short in that aspect.
My concern isn't just about the order mix-up; it's also about the inconsistency in what was promised and what was served. The menu board displayed something entirely different from what we received, even though it was supposedly what we had ordered, as confirmed when they called it out.
My initial disappointment began when I noticed a sign outside advertising pizza slices for 99 cents. When I inquired about it during the day, I was flat-out told they wouldn't make it at all. While I didn't expect the pre-COVID pricing, I did hope to at least have the option to enjoy a slice.( this experience is about a month old)
To add to the experience, we were given a small cup of something that had been stored improperly. Though I couldn't identify the contents, it was white, and after a few bites, I realized it had a rancid taste. This unexpected and unpleasant encounter left me feeling sick.
I believe there's room for improvement in various aspects, from order accuracy to communication about available menu items. I hope the establishment takes this feedback constructively and strives to provide a better dining experience for...
Read moreI came here today with my 9yr old son to get him a grilled ham & cheese sandwich. The young guy at the register told me all he could make was a ham & cheese sub. We were going to leave but he offered to make one on sliced bread, although it was not on the menu. I thought it was great customer service and mentioned all my son wanted on it was ham, cheese, ketchup, and mayo. I wasnt going to order anything for myself but because the kid was nice enough to offer the sandwich I decided to order a small chicken sub which was 7.99 for myself. We waited maybe 15 minutes. When I went to pay my total was a little over $17! I asked how much did you charge me for the ham and cheese (since i was never told when they offered to make it)? The older gentleman answered 7.99. When I opened the box and saw the sandwich I told him I couldn't pay that much for the sandwich. A lady then came (one of the employees told me it was the owner) and said this is the same price for a small sub. I looked at her like really!? She then snatched the sandwich from my hand and threw it in the trash. Instead of apologizing since I was never told a price for a sandwich that was not on the menu, she really threw my sons sandwich in the trash and went on with her work as if nothing happened. I hope she sees this because I will be telling everyone I know as well as posting all over social media how bad her service was and she is the owner. The young guy who originally helped me keep up...
Read moreThis was perhaps the biggest waste of $45 ever. My order: 18" Margherita pizza, falafel plate, spinach pie, and grape leaves. The pizza crust was flat, unrisen, and doughy which is weird for such a thin crust. There were NO tomatoes whatsoever, and three that's right 3 basil leaves. The sauce looked like they brushed the dough with tomato paste before topping it with the 3 leaves and fresh mozzarella (the cheese was good). The falafel plate, dry oil soaked falafel(ish) mini pucks served on a bed of mushy tasteless rice, with NO tahini sauce served on a (now soggy) pita and a side salad with pickles and no dressing. Spinach pie undercooked, and served with the same paste from the pizza on the side.. grape leaves were soft but tasted ok. I've never had them with hummus (really funky looking by the way) before though, should be cucumber sauce. If I had not been starved, I would have driven every crumb of it back to Pizza Works. UPDATE: 4/1/22 : I assure you, I know where I placed, and picked up my order, and what I ordered. I also know that I did not exaggerate. It was just as I stated. I understand wanting to defend your business, but you can't do that by serving lousy food, and lying to try to cover up for it. Your food speaks for itself. I will never give you another penny of my business, and would strongly urge everyone to do the same. Good day,...
