Was excited to try this place. We waited for it to be open a few weeks so they would be settled in, employees would know what they were doing, Everything would be running good etc. Went in there yesterday for lunch. I believe they’ve been open about five weeks at this point. There was only one customer ahead of us and when we went in I saw two cars in the drive-through. One counter person and at least six or seven people cooking and putting meals together etc. The food was 100% awful, I would never go there again, and it was overly priced for sure. We got one chicken sandwich meal, one blackened chicken sandwich meal, a three piece chicken tender and a small fry and it cost us $38 The chicken tenders were cooked, but had no flavor, the biscuit was the worst I’ve ever had and the french fries were just loaded with pepper. That’s not Cajun seasoning to me. My daughter was expecting the chicken sandwich with the bacon and cheese on it and hers was getting coming with coleslaw. The coleslaw she said was horrible, took one bite and threw it away. didn’t look very good either. Her sandwich had no bacon, no cheese. She brought her sandwich back up and said I’m supposed to have bacon and cheese on here so the guy said hang on a second turned around and gave the sandwich to a girl who literally took a piece of cheese out, slapped it on the sandwich, and handed it back to him abd told him there’s no more bacon right now. So my daughter told him forget it, take the “cold” cheese off her supposed hot sandwich, just give me back the plain chicken. Any offer to refund her money or charge her less? Absolutely not. Now my grandson got the blackened chicken sandwich with spicy sauce and he got mac & cheese as his side order. I tasted his mac & cheese because I’m a big fan of mac & cheese, horrible! Nothing homestyle about that. More like Kraft cooked in bulk and thrown in little containers. my grandson said his sandwich was “awesome” Although to me it did not look appetizing at all, however, keep in mind he’s only 12 and likes everything LOL
We did go at lunchtime but it was 12:45 so the noon time rush was over and the 1 o’clock rush had not yet started. They seemed to have plenty of workers and even the line in the drive-through only had a couple of cars. Really no reason to mess up orders that badly. Even without messing up the orders, the food just wasn’t that good. The chicken had no flavor and the coleslaw and mac & cheese I felt I could go to the grocery store buy a box and make it myself and it would taste better, so why am I paying all this money?? If I’m gonna get fast food chicken, I’m going across the...
Read moreThis place is the epitome of three strikes you’re out rule. The broader principle is that the flawed franchise system operates by having the parent corporation only caring about the fees and the franchisee knowing that he or she will not be held accountable.
Strike one came with arriving to collect a mobile order. As other reviewers note, the employees merely stare back at you without even smiling. This has happened every time even though at most only one other customer was in the restaurant.
The added insult to this injury every time is the staff that literally just is standing around ignores the mobile orders as they accumulate around the machine that prints them. The staff only looked for our orders after they actually spoke to us, and we had a chance to ask for them.
We arrived soon after they opened the first time. The food was good and correct. The aforementioned lousy service continued with not telling us that the completed order was ours despite our having talked to them a few minutes before and standing right there.
The first wrinkle the second time was getting there an hour after they opened. The chicken strips that were taken from the bins behind the counter tasted like they had been sitting there the entire time. Also, we discovered on getting home that we did not get any of the requested dipping sauces.
We ordered for pickup soon after opening the third time. This time, the two workers chatting behind the counter AND the third one who walked right up to me ALL turned a literal deaf ear.
The heavily made-up manager who looked and acted like a sitcom stereotype threw me a nasty look and did not say a word when I politely mentioned the issue of not filling mobile orders.
I watched the manager simply walk around the kitchen also ignoring the employees as my order was filled.
This time, I ordered two spicy chicken sandwiches and one order of fries. The sandwiches were plain ones, and they dumped my improperly seasoned fries directly in the bottom of the bag in which they placed my sandwiches.
All three visits were during what should have been the busy lunch period. At most, there only was one other customer there and no one using drive-thru. The McDonalds right next door always looked busy.
I loved Popeyes when I lived in the DC area and always had a great experience. I am giving up in this one, which I do not see lasting an entire...
Read moreI placed an online order at 9:08 pm for pickup at the drive thru. The drive thru is supposed to close at 10pm. I waited in line for longer than 30 minutes to be told at 9:45 they were closed with no apologies and no explanation. When I went to the window to discuss, I then noticed all the employees smiling when they saw I was upset. When I asked the employee Martim for the manager, he came back with the offer that all of a sudden they could offer to make my food after making me so upset. I then stated I was no longer interested and wanted to speak with the manager. Finally the manager Melissa came after I demanded to speak with her and showed no care in the world at all for the situation. I just want to point out that my family and I were excited to finally try Popeyes for the first time and even went to the extent of registering online and I am absolutely baffled at the first experience I had there. I really want to believe that this is not what the corporate office is wanting to see of a new location. Then again, after expressing my concerns with the customer care team they offered me a $5 dollar coupon!! Lol!! Is this what the world has really come to? Speechless!! I even had cars behind questioning what the problem was and why they weren't taking orders since the drive thru closed at 10pm. What I found extremely interesting in the end is that I noticed afterwards that they serviced some drive thru customers after me. I can never ever go to a Popeyes ever again and will be sure to share this unbelievable experience with others as I hope no one goes through what I went through tonight. End result is that I brought home no food to my wife, son and daughter!!! Thank You...
