Alfonso's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Payson

Amazing place as always amazing food for 6 years that ive gone here to eat. I ordered 3 beef and bean burritos today on a delivery website but only 1 was beef and bean the other 2 were bean and cheese my bad. I wanted all 3 beef and bean.. but I accidentally ordered only 1 and the other 2 became bean amd cheese. So the young man as of 6/19/2022 called me to ask if I wanted all 3 beef and bean because I messed up the order. He said well next time you gotta pay extra because it costs more to add beef to your bean and cheese burritos but this time we can let it slide. I'm such a happy customer and kudos to that young man amazing customer service and amazing food. What else can I say forever an alfonsos customer! (Edit. I ordered 2 pints of rice but instead they gave me 2 pints of beans. Rice and more rice. My daughter and I stopped in for a burrito, we have been frequent customers over the past 12 years and after several unhappy meals lately, were done eating here. We ordered a shrimp burrito and a California and asked what was in each. The shrimp was to have shrimp, rice and veges and the California steak, potato,cheese and pico de gallo. The ‘shrimp’ burrito had 5 small shrimp, a few veges we had to dig through the rice for and TONS of rice (filler) and the California no pico de gallo and the steak bits were extremely salty. We decided to eat with forks and knives after our burritos fell apart. We opened each burrito to see just what was inside before continuing on. The shrimp burrito should be called rice burrito and the California should be renamed salt mine. For what you pay eat elsewhere. We did let the cashier know the burritos were missing items and I was handed some pico de gallo. Left dissatisfied:/...

Alfonso’s is a small hole in the wall where you will find authentic Mexican dishes. Food is always fast, hot and tasty. They offer several different options on their menu, however you can always substitute items in your order. They serve coke which is a plus and they have diy condiments you can pack to take with you on to-go items. You can call ahead and pick up your order on your way in or out of town, they are fast and convenient. There are only two picnic benches in the front and a small indoor space with a few tables. A Restroom is located in the back, did I mention hole in the wall? Sometimes you will find long lines and families waiting because it is so good and good on the wallet.
