Dairy Queen (Treat) — Restaurant in Payson

Dairy Queen gets a solid four stars from me. I ordered a chocolate soft serve cone and my partner ordered a vanilla soft serve with chocolate sprinkles. Simple enough, right? Except somehow I ended up with rainbow sprinkles. Not the end of the world, but come on. I said chocolate. Still, I am not out here trying to pick a fight over tiny bits of sugar. They were busy, moving fast, probably just misheard me. It happens. And really, who can stay mad while holding a cone of cold, creamy soft serve after a long hike?

The ice cream itself was great. My chocolate cone hit instantly, smooth and rich just like it always should be. My partner’s cone looked exactly right, sprinkles and all, and they had zero complaints. Even with the sprinkle swap, everything was served up quick and tasted just how you want it to. The team behind the counter was clearly working hard to keep things moving, and considering the line, they did a solid job.

At the end of the day, it is ice cream. It is cold, it is sweet, and it makes any post-hike craving disappear in seconds. Just maybe double check the sprinkle...

This one star review is about customer service. My order was $7.39. I gave the worker $20.39. The change I was given was $12.95. When I questioned the change she looked at me like she didn’t know what I was talking about. I said, I gave you one quarter, one dime and four pennies. She agreed and said that’s .34. I said no it’s .39. At this point she turned on her heel and briskly walked to the back leaving another worker to deal with the problem. So, I explained it to her giving back the .95 and said I am owed another dollar. To the worker who walked out on your responsibility to me, THE CUSTOMER. You could have handle this in a numerous ways but, you choose to walk away leaving me standing there. That is why this DQ received this review from me. No matter whether you owed me .5 or 5 dollars it was up to you to reconcile it. Have a nice...

May be shocking for DQ to know, but there us quite a large population that that is Allergic to Chicken! When all you serve is chicken and fried chicken you make it impossible for us to eat anything, but ice cream! Ugh!! Very disappointing all around. Had a issue with the ordering computer. The manager gave a discount a 10% for the trouble of waiting. To bad we didn't know our troubles weren't over. First only 1 mini blizzard was handed out to us. Next when my daughters food was brought out (since I can't eat here) they did not include her bluzzard. Making us wait longer. They thin bring out her's and another one for me.
