I recently visited this Filiberto's, enticed by the promise of a flavorful carne asada burrito. The anticipation was high as I dug into the generously sized creation, filled with succulent grilled meat, beans, and all the traditional fixings.
However, my culinary journey took an unexpected turn. The carne asada and salsa, while bursting with flavor, seemed to have a hidden kick that my taste buds weren't prepared for. As I savored each bite, the spiciness intensified, leaving my mouth ablaze and my senses tingling.
Unfortunately, the adventure didn't stop there. Later that evening, I found myself facing an unexpected challenge – a severe upset stomach and a rush to the bathroom that could rival a sprinter's pace. It seems the bold flavors of Filiberto's carne asada left an indelible mark on my digestive system.
For three days I was tormented with the unending wrath of the demonic burrito’s powers. When would it release the hold it had on me? Would my stomach ever be the same? When would this war finally end?
While the experience was memorable, it's fair to say that Filiberto's might want to consider issuing a spice warning for those who want a quick meal without needing to atone for their decision to eat at Filiberto’s days after. Despite the unexpected aftermath, I commend the restaurant for its daring approach to flavor. If you're ready for a fiery gastronomic journey, Filiberto's might just be the...
Read moreIf only I could give it zero stars.. where do I begin.. we get there, and go inside because our car was overheating. We order our food and pay cash, then the cashier tells us he doesn’t have enough money and that he has to figure it out but he owes us $6.50.. so we go to sit down and there are water bugs EVERYWHERE. The entire floor was covered. We had to watch where we stepped. And a water bug infestation is a clear sign that the place is NOT clean. Which wasn’t hard to see considering every single table was dirty, the floor was covered in trash and old food. And at this point I’m wondering how bad the kitchen must be! After 20 minutes of waiting we get our food and the cashier tries to write on the back of a receipt that he owes us the $6.50… we tell him that we will not be coming back as we live more than an hour away and are just passing through. He then hands us $1 from the drawer and $5 from his wallet… we made sure to let the people walking in know that they should refrain from paying cash since the employee didn’t feel like informing people😑 I would suggest steering clear until there is new management because this was the worst restaurant experience I’ve ever had...
Read moreFood here has always been questionable wasn’t as bad before though as it was this time around. My carne asada burrito tasted so bad the meat was old and to make matters worse it was a mix of ground beef and very little carne asada. That should be illegal because that is not what I had ordered. The food tasted like it was from the day before. And it wasn’t hot at all. The salsas at the cart tasted like tomato sauce and also tasted not very fresh. This place should be shut down immediately for all of this. The kids working there aren’t bad people but I’m sure the owner tells them to skimp on the carne asada to cut costs by mixing it with ground beef. I will never come here again. Only people leaving over 3 stars are drunk when they eat this trash. I’ve been to many Filiberto’s in the valley and wow I’ve never had such an experience before. OSHA would shut them down in...
