Non local: heard about the excellence of the North Shore Beef. So glad I stopped here! Ordered the Regular Beef 3 Way and it was superb. There was a mountain of tender, melt-in-your-mouth, cooked rare-medium-rare beef with tangy mayo, creamy cheese, and the zingy BBQ sauce. The BBQ sauce has a nice body to it and a pronounced Worcestershire-like umami flavor which really complements the sandwich. The seeded regular bun has a nice toasted crunch to contrast the tender meat. My only desire would be a more beefy flavor, but not at the expense of the excellent tenderness. Immediately compared this to Jamie's: Atha's is the clear victor in terms of overall sandwich balance, doneness, value, and friendly staff.

By far my top beef destination in the north shore, and for good reason. The 3way beef is unreasonably good. Bun toasted on both sides puts this on another level; perfectly rare, warm beef throughout; sauce to mayo proportion is on point. I know some "experts" out there hate on the seeds, but shut up and just get two juniors or a super and stop crying. My proximity to Atha's is not going to bode well for my wallet, but I'll keep coming back for the best beef around and the friendly service of the fine people who make it happen. Boston sports memorabilia everywhere inside too so you'll feel right at home, you townie.

This is my number 1 favorite roast beef place. The Jr is huge. Huge beef sandwich with sauce that is so delicious you'll want to lick your fingers. Perfect flavor and zing. The beef was medium rare and so tasty. They even toast the buns to make a perfect crunch to the beef. I would say this is the best beef on the Northshore. Reasonably priced too. 😋

I have ordered by phone for pick up from Atha's Roast Beef & Pizza at 10 Sylvan Street in Peabody many times. I understand mix ups, mistakes, misunderstandings can happen in retail & in the food industry. No one and no company is perfect. But you would hope if mistakes were made that there would be some form of customer service in these moments. I have ordered in the past and have had my order wrong on their part a few times. I never come in hot or angry. I am civil and respectful. I explain the situation & ask for things to be redone, which they do. I do not live in Peabody. So, driving back to pick up my order, when they do deliver, is something that I do each time. Extra time and gas. I am never offered an apology, anything for the mistake and the inconvenience of driving back or an offer to have it delivered. Last night, I ordered food for my household totaling $60+, which is the average that we spend for each time we order from them. The traffic was awful going there and coming back last night. I was so happy to come home and enjoy my supper. Unfortunately, my super roast beef was wrong and my daughter was missing one of her salad dressings, which we pay extra for. My son's large onion, steak & cheese and our large fry, extra crispy, was soggy. I called them to rectify the super roast beef & missing salad dressing. I was told that I needed to drive back to pick them up. Frustrated and hungry, I decided to drive back. I called back a second time after I left to have them remake my son's onion steak and cheese and the large fries, extra crispy. I was never given an apology for the mistake. I was never offered some money off for the remade sub and fries. Nothing for the whole inconvenience. This doesn't end here. We finally get home to eat our meal. My daughter had ordered a Caesar salad with parmesan and feta cheese extra pita and extra dressing. She informs me that her steak tip from her steak tip (well done) was red and was hard to cut due to the undercooking. She was able to eat the rest of her salad besides the steak tip. Mind you we pay extra for the feta cheese, the extra pita and the extra dressing. We didn't call Atha's regarding the steak tip. Please note, my youngest daughter rarely ever complains about her food. She is fine if her steak or steak tip is pink or slightly red. But for her to complain says a lot. Let me add, the remade fries tasted very off. I couldn't eat them. So, I paid $64.70 for the first order & $ $21.38 for the remade order and wasted the gas (and time) to drive back the second time. We didn't get an apology. We didn't get an offer for something out of courtesy for their mistake. I have made decisions in the past to reorder from Atha's after mistakes made by them. I never call in angry as I don't want anything possibly done to my food if an employee is aggravated of my complaint. But this is how we were treated last night?! I feel this was too much for me. I have finally made the decision that going there isn't worth it. Their lack of customer service is what did me in. So, peace Atha's Roast Beef Pizza at 10 Sylvan Street in Peabody. You lost 3 customers. But here's some advice...DO BETTER WITH YOUR...

I ordered a large pizza, and asked for half bacon ranch chicken & half plain cheese. When i got the pizza, the half cheese side was with ranch dressing instead of red sauce. The pizza was also extremely greasy & needed to be cleaned off with paper towels. The next day i called & spoke with the manager (Athas), who argued with me instead of apologizing, and then hung up on me. I called to explain that the pizza had all ranch on it instead of red sauce, and the person who took my order should have explained they cannot make a half white & half red pizza. However, they did not explain that to me & the manager argued and told me how annoying it was to make a half white & half red pizza, and i shouldve order 2 pizzas instead. I will never order from there again. I prefer Salvo’s Panini Pizzeria in...

Ordered a pizza over the phone and wanted black olives on half. The girl on the phone did not understand what I was asking for even though I repeated it 3 times. What we got was BURNT broccoli instead of black olives. My husband looked at the pizza pointed out the mistake. No one said anything. Being non confrontational, he took the pizza home. We were charged over $19.00 for a pizza which was awful. We are regular customers and won’t return. Employees that do not have a full grasp of our language should not be taking orders on the phone.UPDATE. We decided to give Athas another try and sure enough they got our order wrong AGAIN! I don’t understand how they are still in business. They have no clue how to get orders correctly. Be sure to open the box if you order a pizza. It’s...
