Please know the only reason for the 4 stars on food is due to undercooked risotto that we got twice and our waitress loosing her cool, when asking if we'd like a replacement item. If you don't know what items you're allowed to choose please expect deer I'm headlights expressions. Our tenderloins were cooked to perfection, sadly the mushroom risotto it's served on was tough to chew and still had hard rice in it. When it was replaced they definitely took it from the same batch because the rice was still severely undercooked. Moving on, desserts heavenly, I mean look at those pictures. And their caramel gelato is the best I've ever experienced and I purchase gelato often in my travels abroad. Our party was a retirement party for a beloved employee/CFO. Our CEO reserved the outside space that's tented in, and it was truly lovely. However when we arrived the long table was not connected to the next table over to properly accommodate our large party. Our CEO, who's VERY well known socially, through extensive business in the area, didn't get the best response when she brought it up to their hostess/possibly event Mngr. The lady spoke abruptly and immediately reminded our CEO of their conversation. There are multiple ways of addressing people, to bring a calm, let me fix this, accommodating, feel to the elephant in the room. This hostess packed tack, empathy, and overall professionalism and came with an attack of, i'm right, you're wrong, live with it attitude. Amen our technology team arrived and just pushed the tables together. Our CEO was her polished, diplomatic self, and didn't challenge this hostess, because it wasn't worth ruining the evening. I stood back, watched, and it took everything in me not to pull that hostess out of the room to give her a lesson on customer service dabbled with sincerity and diplomacy. So sorry, digressed. Appetizers, amazing and probably the best meatballs and burrata I've experienced in years. Their stuffed zucchini flowers were enjoyable. Everyone's meal for the most part was top notch. The CFO retiring took me a side after to say, her scallops tasted metal. Her husband tried them and agreed. Amen the tiramisu made up for it. That's about it. I'll debate if I'll return because even though their food is truly amazing, something about how my CEO was treated is sticking with me. But, you'll all have to try it for yourself. I'm told, Steve their...
Read moreThis was our first experience here, we are from out of state visiting Salem and we chose this restaurant to celebrate our second wedding anniversary. Reservations were made for 8:30pm, we arrived around 8:15 checked in and were seated around 8:45 after multiple other parties who arrived after us were seated. Once seated we waited for about 20 mins for our server to arrive at the table. Before arriving we had looked at the online menu and had an idea of what we wanted. After looking at the menu at the restaurant we discovered the cocktails we had decided on were no longer available and the entrees we wanted were no longer on the menu. After finding substitutes for those items we were informed by the server that they were out of those entrees for the night. After another glance at the menu we decided on a meal placed an order and waited. The server said they would return with some bread and our drinks. The drinks arrived from the bar about 15 minutes later and both drinks were wrong, we then had to wait for the server to return to rectify the drink issue, about 10 minutes the drinks arrived and were correct but we still had not received our bread after being seated for almost 45 minutes. At this point I was tempted to request the check pay for the drinks and find another restaurant but it was too late in the evening. Now all of this seems like a lot of complaining and in a way it is, we chose this restaurant to celebrate an important milestone on our lives and the evening did not go as planned at all, between the menu not being updated the drinks being incorrect the amount of time we waited to receive the drinks and bread, it led to a very unsatisfied experience that we honestly couldn’t wait to end. Our food had now arrived and we started to eat, the food was ok in my honest opinion not worth the 30+ dollars, we quickly ate a few bites and requested the check. After spending 100+ dollars we could not wait to get out of there. This will be an anniversary dinner we will never forget. We straight up did not...
Read moreWent to Daniella’s for the first time on Saturday, the restaurant is decorated soooo beautifully! We had the pleasure of having Leyla as our server and she was exceptional, recommended good wine pairings for my boyfriend which he enjoyed very much! We started off with the meatballs as an appetizer because you can always judge how good the food is going to be if the meatballs are good (lol). They were so delicious and juicy! It was such a good sized app we pretty much were full by the time our entrees came (we also had bread with it).. For our entrees I got the vodka penne (amazing and with the pancetta it gave it such a unique flavor) the sauce was to die for!! My boyfriend got the swordfish with the pesto gnocchi and I couldn’t help but steal so many gnocchis off of his plate because they were cooked to perfection in the most delicious pesto sauce. We had no room for dessert but pushed through because we were celebrating my boyfriends birthday and got the affogato and since I told Leyla it was his birthday she also gave us a chocolate chip cannoli on the house and took beautiful photos of me and my boyfriend. She was truly a amazing server who really elevated our experience on top of the delicious food and wonderful atmosphere. You can really tell the people here love where they work which is so unique to find. I couldn’t recommend this place more for any occasion and I can’t wait to come back to try more delicious food. It was a...
