From the moment we stepped in The waiting area to when we were seated -which was less than a minute; our service was phenomenal. The hostess inquired about our party (2 ppl) & what was our preference (kitchen or self prepare). Now, it was lunch time and neither myself or my husband felt like we wanted to be bothered with cooking our own meal. Were we in for a surprise. Our server Sidney approached less than a minute after we got seated and informed us of our choices once more. Ok before I continue with what we went with let me give you some back story. The table behind us (a couple) was being helped by Sydney and we realized just how scrumptious their meal looked. So me being me 😅 stated that based on their smorgasbord we are indeed intrigued. They squealed in delight and nodded. Mouths were too full to say anything 😆. Therefore by the time Sydney came to our table and began to give us choices - our minds were changed. We wanted our meal cooked at the table. So we decided on the $44.99 per person all-you-can-eat meat. Sounds greedy, right? Well it’s not. Be nice. We also had the buffet with several choices but was cautioned not to consume too much from the buffet should we get full too fast and then not enjoy the delicacies. All in all we stopped at “level 3”. Ask for Sydney and she’ll explain the levels. The meat was fresh. The veggies were fresh. The bathrooms were clean. No like REALLY, REALLY, REALLY clean! I went twice just to run back to tell hubby that I think a fairy goes in right after a guest 😆. Do try them. We thought we had visited every restaurant in Peachtree City and was kind of getting bored but here’s this GEM! We will surely be back and this time we’ll do our best to take more pics and move through the levels. Don’t forget to tip your server - not just in words but in cash! Enjoy 😊

Update as of 2/21/25: This place has gotten SO much better. Would definitely recommend now. Leaving old review for posterity and to show that it went from a 2 to a 4.5 for me.

Let me preface this review with I eat a lot of KBBQ and this is my honest review of 9292.

Today (7/12/24) a friend and I decided to give it a try for lunch. When we first arrived at the restaurant, you're immediately hit with a nice atmosphere. Everything is very modern, tables are spacious, there's no doubt that the atmosphere is great.

The host was friendly and asked if we wanted the lunch menu or dinner menu. We wanted the AYCE so she suggested the dinner menu.

We were seated and immediately greeted by the waiter. We didn't look at the menu long because we knew we wanted to order the Dinner AYCE ($35), but the server said that the lunch AYCE ($30) was the better deal, so we went with that. We talked with him that we eat KBBQ all the time and we're used to cooking it for ourselves.

This is the part where things kind of went downhill. The server brought out our meats and began to cook the meal and didn't really speak, which is fine because I'm there to interact with my friend, not the server. It gave off an uncomfortable vibe having someone stand there quietly and cooking the meat for you. KBBQ is meant to be a communal experience, cook meats and hang out with your friends. I barely spoke to my friend throughout the whole meal because we had someone hovering over us.

At one point we ordered another meat and a different server came to our table and I began to put the meat on the grill using the tongs and our server came back with another pair and just began cooking it himself again and then back to uncomfortableness.

Moving past that to the meal now. They offer a buffet for your sides where you can go and pick what you want. The offerings are mediocre compared to other places like Iron Age where you can get Japchae and Rick cakes. 9292 had unflavored Korean potatoes and fish cakes and the usual staples like pickled vegetables and kimchi. Rice is not available at the buffet and you have to ask for it. The rice that was brought out to us was room temperature when really it should be hot.

Next is the meat. All of the meat we had had this weird off taste to it. It's hard to describe but it wasn't good. The brisket cooked on the grill and tasted more like boiled meat than grilled meat. The bulgogi had almost no flavor and was honestly hard to distinguish between that and the brisket. The way the meat was cooked by the server was...fine. It wasn't to my preference like I would usually cook it at somewhere like Iron Age or Kpot. I will say that the Spicy Pork Belly was pretty good though (honestly the only good part of the meal). Oh, and the sauces were mediocre. You have your staple sesame oil with salt and pepper and then what I think was miso paste, and I think kalbi.

I want to circle back to the menu though. I took a look at the menu again since one was left on the table to order the meats and looked at the dinner AYCE vs lunch AYCE. The dinner AYCE had better offerings like prime rib and short ribs and it's only a $5 difference. Honestly, I feel a little tricked by them saying go with the lunch but that's on me.

Overall, I think it's a 2/5. The restaurant is barely open and there is always opportunity to grow, but I don't see myself or friends coming back if this is going to be a place that cooks for you. It takes away the bonding experience. I want to say though that my server was great. He was friendly, he tried to engage with us (I'm not big on this but I appreciate it), and he was prompt with our orders. I just want to circle back to the lingering and cooking for us. I thought it might just be us at first, but I saw another table getting AYCE and the server was doing the cooking for them as well. Maybe it was because it was slow? Who knows, but that was...

Hands Down, the BEST Korean BBQ Ever!

I have been to hundreds of Korean BBQ spots, spanning from California to Las Vegas—arguably the capitals of KBBQ. So, when I say 9292 Korean BBQ is my #1 of all time, I mean it.

Like many, I hesitated at first due to a few negative reviews, but I decided to experience it myself, and I am beyond glad that I did. Let me break down why this restaurant is nothing short of phenomenal.

Customer Experience: 10/10

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by two lively and welcoming hostesses who immediately set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. After being seated, our waiter, Jimmy N. was nothing short of outstanding. As first-timers, we had a ton of questions, and he was patient, knowledgeable, and offered excellent recommendations without ever making us feel rushed.

Endless & Affordable Options

One of the standout features of 9292 KBBQ is their variety of dining options. They don’t just have one way to enjoy KBBQ; they cater to everyone's preferences and budgets:

Regular Lunch Menu – Like a standard restaurant, with dishes up to $24.99.

Buffet Package 1 – Under $35, offering a great selection of meats.

Buffet Package 2 – Under $45, featuring an even wider range of premium meats.

A La Carte – My personal favorite! This allows for a more customized and high-quality KBBQ experience.

Even if you order from the lunch menu, you still have access to the buffet—which is insanely generous. The variety of meats, sauces, and side dishes was mind-blowing, and let me tell you, the Japchae was to die for!

Ambience & Cleanliness

The restaurant itself is immaculate—not just the dining area, but also the restrooms, which I always appreciate. The overall vibe is lively yet comfortable, making it a great spot for both casual meals and special occasions.

Taste & Quality

Everything—EVERYTHING—was exceptionally flavorful. The meats were high-quality, well-marinated, and cooked to perfection on the grill. The variety of dipping sauces took everything to another level. Whether you’re a KBBQ expert or a first-timer, your taste buds will thank you.

Final Thoughts

9292 Korean BBQ is an absolute gem and will now be my go-to spot for KBBQ. To say I’m obsessed is an understatement. I can’t wait to bring friends and family here because I know they’ll love it just as much as I do.

If you’re on the fence—GO. RIGHT. NOW. This place is legit, and I promise you won’t regret it!

Thank you, 9292 Korean BBQ, for changing my KBBQ experience forever. See you...
