After a super bad day, my buddy and I thought we would treat ourselves to a good dinner to relieve the stress and aggravation. We don't dine at Longhorn very often, because of their above average prices, but this trip was a treat. However, we were first offered a poor table, but then we asked for a booth, and were served there. The server came to us, took our order, asked if we wanted bread, and brought it out. That was good. Also, she brought out a replacement drink without asking, that was good. But, our entres were delayed for a long time. I ordered a dinner salad which never came until it was brought WITH the entre. Of course, when that happens, you eat the salad while the entre is getting cold. Everybody knows that you bring the salad our first to avoid this. With a loaded bake potato, all restaurants provide sour cream. Not this one. Then, the server took forever to come back, and I asked for sour cream. She agreed. But, she never brought it. About fifteen minutes later, she brought out missing pecans for my buddy, because his salad only had 4 pecans and 4 mushrooms, so he was not happy. But, she forgot the sour cream. So, by now my "loaded" bake potato was cold. My buddy asked ANOTHER server for the sour cream, she agreed, but I then declined, because the potato was cold. My buddy and I dis-enjoyed our meal, and we spent most of the dinner talking about the lousy service and the inadequate food quality, especially for the prices charged. He noted how he had watched the other waitresses make many trips to their dinner guests, while ours was never around. But, when we asked for the check, that was brought out immediately. Needless to say we will never eat at that...
Read moreMy husband and I really wanted steaks, and while our steaks were good, we left fairly disappointed. Our server was...new? I asked her if I could start with a French onion soup and she said no, it's supposed to be ordered with my food. So, I waited. My husband ordered a pint of beer and she came back and said, "sorry, we don't have pints, only 16 or 22 ozs". He chuckled and said 16 oz is a pint, so 16. We both ordered the French onion soup, which is supposed to be served piping hot. The cheese was absolutely piled on and still very shredded and cold. The soup was cold. We both sent it back, for it to come back 10 minutes later hardly warmed. I should have sent it back and removed from the bill, but was super hungry. The flavor would have been good had it been hot. Our food had just arrived when it started pouring raining outside, and the roof and the light above us started leaking water profusely on my son. We got moved to another booth, literally right next to the bathroom. The place was nearly empty, yet that's where we got to sit. My other son's steak (ordered medium well) came to our table on a super hot plate that he couldn't touch. I cut his steak for him and it was more than well done. The server was so stoic the entire meal, didn't tell a manager about the rain, so a manager never stopped by. We got our check, which was incorrect. She corrected it and dropped it off, not saying thanks or have a good night or anything. Seemingly, the server was a poorly programmed robot showing no empathy.
This was one of the most awkward exchanges with a sever either of us had ever had, and we will not be going back to Longhorn Steakhouse...
Read moreI took my daughter for lunch here to celebrate her birthday. We arrived right after 11, when they opened for the day. We were sat quickly. We noticed immediately that our table, and all the tables surrounding us, were dirty (see attached picture). My only assumption is that the closing crew the night before did nothing to clean up after themselves or their customers. I did see the hostess attempting to wipe down other tables in between helping guests as they arrived. I got an extra napkin to wipe down our table. Our server, Ryan, was friendly and took our order pretty quickly. We both just ordered the fire cracker chicken wraps as our main meal (without the salsa). He brought out the bread and there was no knife with it. I asked him if there were any butter knives to butter the bread with since all we had were steak knives in our napkins and he told me they “threw all those out.” Buttering the bread with a giant steak knife was not only ridiculous, but pretty impossible, and my daughter and I gave up after two slices. Our fire cracker chicken wraps were good, but my daughter ran out of her drink less than halfway through hers and had to stop eating until I could catch the attention of our server and ask for a refill. He was thoughtful and brought it in a to-go cup (we joked that he was ready to get rid of us). All of the dirty dishes (even the ones we pushed to the outer edge) sat on the table until we left. The service could have been better, especially considering there was only one other group (of 3) sat in our server’s section while we were there, but the fire cracker wraps were good and that was our whole...
