McAlister's Deli — Restaurant in Pearl

Went here today as my first time out for dinner since the COVID. Needly to say that it will be my first and last time going. First start with the fact they only had one person at register..it seemed it was suppose to be two but the other was no where around. With one register open caused us to crowd at the door which goes against distancing. So after finally placing our order with a very nice staff member we wanted to sit outside. That was a no go because the table still had food on them which meant no cleaning in between customers. We decided to eat inside which was clean enough and had table spaced apart. We got food and appetizer fast but our plates still had food stuck to them from pervious use. I looked over this and continued eating. But upon further inspection I noticed there was some sort of sauce on my club as if it had been cut with the same knife as something with the sauce on it. At this point I was done eating and proceeded to the restroom to freshen up. Wrong move. It was tissue every where on the floor and the bathroom looked as if it hadn't been cleaned all day. I was disgusted at this point and had the hurry outside to keep from getting sick (I have a very sensitive stomach especially when eating.) I know they may be short staffed due to the pandemic but they need to do better over all. They have good reviews but won't for much longer if...

update called and spoke with manager "Justin". We discussed my disappointment with the quality of the food. He refunded the total cost of my meal and offered to personally make my next meal to insure it's quality and at no cost to me. He certainly changed a negative experience to a somewhat positive one. Updating to 4 stars.

To start with, this place only gets two stars, and that's basically just because they had my order ready whenever I got there. I ordered the "choose two". I ordered the French dip half sandwich and a Caesar salad. I also ordered a tea. The French dip half sandwich was poorly made and poorly put together. The au jus juice served with the French dip had very little flavor! I've eaten at McAlister's before at other locations, and they were better. It seems as if someone got lazy and just watered it down! Thefrebch dip and au jus at arby's is much better than this particular location. The Caesar salad was also poorly made! It barely had any cheese in it at all! Also the dressing that they provide is too small of a serving even for a half salad. Also, they were about to give me my order and not give me my tea. I had to remind them! Service was friendly, and on time, but still too many other negative experiences. Once again as I said, only two stars... I would have only given it one star, but I was...

Ordered DoorDash from them today. I ordered the southwest chicken sandwich that is supposed to come with chipotle sauce on it. Not one bit on the entirety of the sandwich which was completely cold. The mac and cheese was just like the sandwich which was cold. Both of these I could have handled because luckily I have a microwave at work but to top off this whole issue was the fact that my sweet tea was indeed not sweet nor did I have any ice. I watched the lady who delivered my food on the app and she was here within 12 minutes of pickup. Will not be ordering from this location again. Hopefully it is better dining in. I noticed that there a good bit of bad reviews for this location based on delivery choices and it is kind of sad that this is how people are treated if they do not walk in themselves to inspect the order to make sure it was what they paid for. Had another issue over a year ago where a friend of mine had gotten a cookie at this location that was so hard that he took a video of him hitting it against a table and it not breaking. Completely...
