Byrd's Hot Chicken — Restaurant in Pembroke Pines

I just tried Byrd’s Hot Chicken for the first time (ordered a single hot chicken sandwich via DoorDash with ranch on the side), and wow… I’m still recovering from the absolute flavor explosion I just experienced.

I ordered mine medium, and it had the perfect amount of spice — enough to make my taste buds dance but not overpowering. The chicken itself? Tender, juicy, and perfectly seasoned. The coleslaw added just the right touch of sweetness, the crisp pickle was the perfect contrast, and the buttered brioche bun was soft yet held everything together like a champ. Even with delivery, nothing was soggy or wilted, it arrived in perfect shape.

Oh, and the fact that it’s halal chicken just makes it even better. I’ll definitely be going hotter next time because I can tell they’ve nailed their spice levels. This was hands down one of the BEST hot chicken sandwiches I’ve ever had. Byrd’s Hot Chicken, you’ve earned a loyal...

They literally just opened up, and they're in their soft opening phase as I'm writing this, thus when I got there, nobody else was there. However, it enabled me to have some time to speak with the staff, and they were very friendly.

Food itself was done within 10 minutes of ordering (maybe since I was the only customer there at that time), and it was good. I'd say it's like Hot Chicks but not as heavy. Will definitely come back to try their other items.

Note that if you're planning to dine-in, they mentioned that for a couple of months they'll just do takeout only in order to get themselves settled in and such. I personally don't foresee much seating as the previous restaurant didn't have much either, but it'll be a nice little vibe to it. Like a less flashier version of Dave's Hot Chicken.

I’ve actually eaten here three times prior to me getting around to this review, but Byrd’s Hot Chicken has been consistently been very good. I’ve had their wings, their Byrd Bomb (loaded fries), milkshakes, and their tenders. Their wings and tenders are jumbo; their serving size of six wings with french fries is definitely filling even for people with big appetites. Their milkshakes use real ice cream, and milk, which is surprise. Their service has been great. I’ve always been greeted when coming in, and if they ask if I need any help ordering from their kiosk. A handful of times when I wanted to pay in cash, they happily took my order themselves. All of the food is prepared to order, so you do have to wait 10-15 minutes or so, but that’s just the way I like it!
