I have been ordering from this location since before it was called China Pavilion. They used to be decent. Food that consistently tasted good. Orders prepared as requested and pretty quick delivery.
However, the last three times I have ordered or tried to order from them, I have had issues. They are absolutely horrible at dealing with issues. The customer services is TERRIBLE!!!!
I placed an order for delivery. After 2 hours with still no delivery, I called. They basically said I was wrong and I ordered the food for pick up. And either I can come pick up the cold food or nothing. Did they do anything for my troubles of having to go pick up the food after hours waiting?
I tried to call the restaurant to place an order, about a month ago and the phone number wasn't working. I called 5 times just in case it was the connection. Maybe they didn't pay the phone bill.
Finally, today I ordered a Jumbo Chicken Fried Rice and a large sweet and sour chicken, our typical order. What arrived, Jumbo shrimp and pork fried rice. My family doesn't eat shrimp or pork. So you can imagine how upset I was. My son was starving and only wanted his "Chinese" rice. I called to ask them to correct the order by delivering the Chicken Fried Rice. I was met with "Hold on", let me check with the kitchen. Then, "Are you sure you don't have the chicken because the kitchen says they made the chicken?" I was disgusted. It's a simple replacement. Then they stated, "i can refund your money." I said, can you just correct the order? The lady said, I would have to pay $4.00 for the driver to come back. After going back and forth and then asking for a manager, the lady from the restaurant finally said she would deliver my correct food. She won't charge me if I give her back the Jumbo shrimp/pork fried rice. I said ok, no problem.
I got the new chicken fried rice and the chicken didn't look like it was cooked well. Then both my son and my mother had stomach aches.
All I have to say, is I need a new Chinese Food Restaurant.
Save yourself. They used to be good, but if you have an issue, you are screwed. You have to go out of your way to try and get things corrected. They don't even apologize for the inconvenience or error. NOTHING. They don't care that they made a mistake. Ever. NEVER once have...
Read moreCheap, delicious, and fast. Food must be eaten in the restaurant since most fried dishes get soggy when you put it into a container for take out. Good flavor profile. If you are Chinese then you can order off menu if you know what to ask for. I particularly like the wonton noodles but not a fan of the shrimp wonton since my mom makes it with pork and shrimp. Their shrimp egg scramble is super soft and tasty, it is very hard not to overcook scramble eggs. Not many authentic dim sum restaurants in South Florida so this is as close as I have found so far. Real Chinese dim sum is mostly steam items and stir fried noodles. If it is mostly fried stuff then the menu is mostly for “tourist” diners who like egg rolls, fried rice, and ribs. They are currently closed on Thursday so plan your trip accordingly. Dim sum is good and so is their lunch and dinner items ( I have only tried the real Chinese staples so can’t comment on the Americanized items on the menu). They are legit on freshness of most seafood dishes since they have the items swimming in a tank but sometimes they do use lobster from frozen purchases which my mom can pick up and will complain to management for a replacement. I am not very knowledgeable in this regard so I wouldn’t know fresh from frozen. The Dim sum bakery items are usually delicious but recently they have been short staffed due to the pandemic so some items sell out fast like the pork buns or sometimes don’t seem fresh like the egg tarts. So best way is to go early on Sunday to get the freshest stuff. If you show up at 10am on Sunday you can get first seating otherwise be prepared to wait at least an hour since it is their busiest day of the week. Some items you can only get on Sunday like their pineapple bun, which has actual pineapple filling (most places only garnish top and have no filling inside), which is delicious if you never had it. There is so much to try, it takes a few visits to get a sense of it all. They usually open at 11 am...
Read moreI miss dimsum but you can apparently get it for takeout! This place is one of the best Chinese restaurants in South Florida and is frequented by a lot of Asian people, why? Because the food is good and the price is cheaper than other Chinese restaurants. My boyfriend would rather drive 20 minutes to get food here than other closer locations. Dimsum is my favorite and so we went all out and ordered 12 different items. They mistakenly packed an extra item for us (bonus!). Despite their dining area still closed to the public their takeout food quality is still good. Five stars for the food packaging as well. I often order Seafood Pan Fried Noodles here and they pack it in an aluminum tin box and than saran wrap it to protect from spillage (another restaurant I ordered from would put the liquid portion in those white carton box mainly used to pack rice and that was it! No protection at all!). Their phone lines do get very busy during peak hours so if you don't hear ringing just keep calling back until you get through. Their phone also probably don't have a hold feature because you can hear them talk with another customer while you're on hold. And I wish they would get with modern time and add an online ordering system instead of just phone and in-person orders. Despite all that, food and price is five stars with high recommendations if you've never been here before. Tip: Their takeout menus have coupons for orders over $15 to get free stuff so make sure to take...
