Went for a birthday celebration with 17 co-workers. We had to call over 2 days to get the reservation. On a Friday at lunch 1 waitress 1 bus boy. We started our saga to get lunch at noon. The waitress lost the page she wrote the order on and we had to go through and check all our orders. Almost 55 minutes later 2 meals were not delivered, for some reason the brown rice was clumping and apparently the waitress made the decision the spice would be on the side not cooked in the food as ordered. She did not ask she pretty much told us we were getting the spice on the side. We have all eaten and the two missing meals don't arrive. We have finished eating 1:17 pm the 2 meals do not arrive when asked everyone says they are going to get it or its coming. We are ready to leave the meals have not arrived and when we suggest she comps the meal the waitresses proceeds to unload all her frustrations on us. She cannot comp the meal it is only her there are so many people... the guy who is supposed to be a manager pretty much ignored the entire table. Myself and another co worker had to get up go stand at the cashier and pretty walk and distribute the split bill and cards back to our coworkers because once again the disgruntled waitress began to take out her frustration about the POS system. Early in the week we brought out of town coworkers as well the waitress was rude as well and acted like we were disturbing her by coming to eat there. She was not pleasant at all, everytime she addressed us to answer a question it seemed like she was pissed off, we were disturbing here from not doing anything, because the place was empty. Oh hell no I am not paying 50 to 250 dollars for poor service when i can get better service at a burger king or macdonalds for $5. Train your employee's your food is not cheap and it is pretty much sauteed vegetables, rice and a meat with sauce on it. A language barrier is no excuse for bad manners and poor...
Read moreI saw lots of great reviews, and was very excited for my pick-up order.
$40 later, we ended up with complete disappointment.
I had the green curry with shrimp. I received a plethora of rice with my order, but hardly any curry, vegetables, or shrimp. The curry was so watered-down and runny that it did not stick to the rice at all and ran down to the bottom of the bowl. The vegetables were hardly cooked, the flavor of the curry was very disappointing, and there were about 5 pieces of shrimp in the entire meal. I would have been extremely disappointed with this even if it was something that I had cooked on my own. I was also hungry when I finished the meal... this coming from a woman who usually takes over half of her meals in a to-go box.
My boyfriend had the pad Thai with chicken. again, it was a small portion with very little chicken.
We also had the steamed dumplings , which were nothing special.
Save yourself from the disappointment. The only pleasant things about my experience were the friendly cashier and speed of the...
Read moreWe love Thai food and since we were fairly new to the area, we asked a friend for recommendations. She suggested Supunnahong Thai as her go to Thai food spot.
We have been here several times now and the food is consistent. We have dined in the restaurant and ordered take out. The prices are fair and the food is good.
I especially love the Basil Sauce with chicken or shrimp. Sometimes I will substitute the rice for clear noodles and it's quite perfect. The sauce and veggies make this dish. So much flavor. Add protein of choice, it's your call. When you dine in and have a lunch special, they bring you this chicken rice soup that reminds me of a lighter porridge, it is so good!!! I want the recipe. It's totally comfort food for me.
The last time we got take out, Pad See Ew was a winner. I mean it's usually always quite good. And I prefer Pad See Ew over Pad Thai, Pad Thai is is too sweet for me. This is a good alternative. Almost like a simpler and lighter version of a beef chow fun which is hands down one of...
