Los Frijolitos Colombian Restaurant — Restaurant in Pembroke Pines

I go here for lunch and its really good. They have great lunch specials and Dee is super nice and helpful. However, recently the service has been terrible. For starters there is no host. Normally you walk in and the servers will say sit anywhere. Today we sat at a table and they told us to move our group of 4 because that table was for 6 people. Mind you we eat here 4 times a week! So my party of 4 was told to get up and wait for another table to clear up when there was nobody else waiting and the only 1 available table. When we requested to speak to the owner she came out and told us that the table is for 6 people and we explained that we needed to eat quickly as it was 12:45 and we would have liked to sit that table. The owner came from the kitchen and began to argue with us and told us that we were wrong and she was incredibly rude. We got up and walked away. This place has gone to the $hits with menu changes no longer offering the pork chops daily, they had to close on Mondays and they are always hiring..... The last straw is that if you have a party of 4 they charge you a large group fee. Large group fee everywhere else is 6 people or more. We felt discriminated against. We felt like the owner doesn't care about her constant customers and providing great customer service. She can benefit from having a consultant come advise her on how to better improve her business because at this rate she will lose lots...

This restaurant has perhaps the best Colombian food in all of Pembroke pines. I've been to all of them, including the ones in West Pembroke pines (West of i75) and nothing beats los frijolitos. I've been coming here for more than a decade and the food always taste the same as it did more than a decade ago. There are some restaurants that lose their "taste" each time they have a new head chef etc but los frijolitos has ALWAYS MANAGED to keep their unique taste unique seasoning throughout all these years. Every dish taste incredible delicious, the service is the best, the girls who work there are the kindest, most friendliest waitress ever! The owner is an incredible person, very friendly and always has a positive attitude. I would give los frijolitos 10 stars if I could but this only allows up to 5 stars🤣.. I recommend this restaurant to anyone who LOVES AUTHENTIC COLOMBIAN CUISINE, this is a 10/10!!! ...

Staff was welcoming as we walked in and cleaned our table. The place was pretty busy, always a good sign for me, but not too busy that we had to wait on our food too long. I ordered the bandeja but I did not like the steak it came with, pretty bland and a little hard, the sweet plantains was overripe and the sausage was kind of dry. Overall I was happy with the service, the ladies did not bombard you every 5 minutes, we did not need any additional help so I didn't notice that they didn't come arpund except for one time. My husband ordered a mixture of steak and chicken with pepper and onions, which he said he liked. The beef empanadas were pretty good, so was the sauce that accompanied it. Oh the red beans was good too and their shakes. Overall I would go back again since my fav Colombian restaurant is all the way in Pompano and this is closer to home. The prices are also...
