I came on a Saturday night and this place just simply so alive. There is a DJ playing crossover music, mostly reggaeton, bachata, salsa, and even rancheras. Trust me, is hard not get happy and dance! Don't expect a quiet scene for a nice and silent dinner. Expect loud and fun crowd but not crazy annoying. They offer hookas, I usually don't smoke those because my throat usually hurts when I do but theirs was very mild and was able to have some (watermelon flavored was great). The food is delicious, there is no bad dish, and every single dish is served and displayed beautifully. Their drinks are also great and served beautifully. Honestly for the food quality, their food prices are actually modest, gratuity is already included (15%) and they make it very easy for big groups with multiple taps - all you need to do is just have fun and relax. The place is decorated, extremely unique, a funky mixed of silliness, humorous but also weirdly stylish. This is a place that evokes happiness and will bring everyone's spirit to a beautiful and happy vibe. Plenty of parking, so conveniently located on Pines. This place is a gem! Will be coming back and often!

Known for its dominican-japanese fusion. This place was in a plaza so the location is not that big. Went on a Saturday night with a big party so the wait time was extra ( not recommended for big parties as they only have 1 sushi chef) There was a live dj with dominican/Spanish music very loud but added the party vibe. There is no dance space. I ordered the tostones rellenos, really liked the pork and meat, the chicken was too bland (desmenusado sin mucho sabor) tried the concon rellenos... best appetizer!! the crunchy rice with the sweet chili on the bottom with the meat toppings was amazing! so delicious definitely recommended!! I had La Chapi sushi and the mix of flavors was very good. The concept is really unique and they have a lot of variety. Definitely recommend!

My cousin has brought several people and everyone has loved this spot! I definitely see why, it's an awesome vibe! Vibrant, welcoming, a non stop party. The DJ played all the Latin hits and I could not stop dancing! They offer hookahs and creative drinks! Wish it had not been too early for hookah...we went for brunch. We had a bit of everything and the food/drinks are inexpensive. I left ridiculously satisfied. I love the Dominican/ Asian fusion, I got a chuckle from the names of certain plates. The restaurant is perfect for Instagram worthy pics. I hope to return to hang in the evening for the full experience. No regrets! Adorable dope place! Thanks

I've been here a total of 3 times and there has been problems every single time. The first time things were great but the waitress said she can't split the check 3 ways. However, we found another waitress to split it for us because we knew that she could and probably didn't want to. The 2nd time I went they told us to pick a seat and proceeded to never give us a menu. They even sat and helped other people after us. We just up and left because we were hungry and they were kind of busy so we didn't bother. The 3rd time we went they only had 1 table seated so I know they weren't busy. They gave us a menu and our drinks pretty quickly. I ordered a maduro roll and my boyfriend got la cosquillita (ribs and rice.) His food came pretty quickly but mine took a long time. After my boyfriend got through half his food we let the lead waitress know that we were still waiting on my food. I guess she went into the back to check on it but she never came back to our table to let us know how long it would take or to apologize for the long wait. They weren't busy and both of the waitresses were just standing around most of the time. My boyfriend literally finished his plate before I even received my food. Finally, I see them bringing someone else their food even though they came in and ordered long after I did AND THEN they came out with my food. I don't understand why my food came out 20 mins after my boyfriends food, especially because I just ordered sushi. I don't understand why someone else's food was given priority over mine. In terms of the food, la cosquillita was really good. However, my maduro roll was just ok , you could tell that the maduro was super ripe/ about to go bad. It just sucks to wait so long for food that wasn't spectacular. Anyways, I'm probably not coming back. If they took the time to we're sorry its taking long it'll be xx of minutes I would have given them another chance, a little bit of customer service...

This was literally the worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. If I could give this place negative stars, I would.

Okay so it's Friday night and it's crowded, I get it ... there's no one at the front so you have to stand awkwardly and wait for a waitress to come up to you and then they barely have any control of who is waiting for a table and who isn't. My friends and I sat at the bar while we waited ... 15 minutes later the same waitress who had walked by at least 6 time without even acknowledging us comes over to take our order. It takes 5 more minutes for her to come back and tell us they don't have the drinks we ordered ... so she says she'll give us a minute to decide on another one. Literally waited 20 minutes and she never came by again.

We finally get a table and order some drinks ... 10 minutes later the waitress comes back to say "we don't have Mamajuana and the Presidente is hot." WHAT KIND OF DOMINICAN PLACE IS THIS?!?!?! It took another 15 minutes to get a Heineken and a Stella ... the third drink didn't come out for another 10 minutes.

Then when we try to order our food we were told "there is no avocado" .... even though literally 90% of the menu contains avocado. At this point I just want to leave ... but we've already wasted an hour here so we decide to stay.

When it was finally time for the check, the 15% gratuity was added automatically to our bill even though we were a party of 3 and the menu clearly said that gratuity would be added to parties of 4 or more ... but of course the waitress KNEW that we were dissatisfied so I'm sure that's why it was added.

I would NEVER even THINK of going back to this place. Their customer service skills are atrocious and completely not worth the hassle. My friends and I were so excited to try El Tiesto but the experience could not have...

I ate in this restaurant on 7/17/24 around 4:30pm. My server was Flavia Z. My friend and I were the only two guests in the restaurant at the time. I will say the food and drinks were great! The service was absolutely terrible. The server was also the one making the drinks but again there were no other customers in the restaurant. The server told us to scan the barcode to look at the menu… took over ten minutes to come back and see what we wanted to drink. Mind you the restaurant is super small and she was less than 20 feet away talking with her co worker and texting the entire time. Once we ordered drinks, two waters and appetizers it took her another ten minutes to make the two drinks. The appetizers arrived before the drinks. She didn’t bring the waters. She came back to take our entree order and we asked again for the waters. Again she didn’t bring them. We had to get up and walk over to ask her for a third time to bring the waters. When our entrees arrived we ordered a second round of drinks.. she again took well over ten minutes to make them because she was taking her sweet time talking with her coworker. We were halfway thru our entree when we got our drinks refilled. I honestly didn’t think it was worth it to complain. However when she brought the tablet over for us to pay she did not tell us 18 percent gratuity was automatically added. This is not industry standard for a party of 2 at all. So I did add additional tip not knowing 18 percent was already added. I would not have tipped 18 percent for this poor service and it should have been disclosed on the menu or by her. Had I known I was going to be charged 18 percent service charge I would have complained during the meal about the service. Flavia needs some serious re training on customer service skills. I would like to be contacted by...
