We went to Don Pepes for the first time tonight. First impressions mean everything in the restaurant business and our first impression was less than desirable. The girl at the front door said not a word. No hello, welcome, how many? Nothing. I said 2 please and can we have a booth? She said nothing. She didn’t say follow me, come this way or anything. We followed and she placed the menus on the table and I said thank you and again, nothing. The food was good. Our server, a nice Cuban girl, was sweet and very attentive. At the end of our meal, the server gave us or check and thanked us. After signing the Credit Card receipt, the front door girl picked it up and guess what? She said nothing! I dont know who the girl is. She had longish hair with a blonde streak in her braid. She needs to be trained or retrained how to treat customers. She never once smiled and walked around like she was doing us all a favor. I hope this employee is not related to the owners. If she is, she should know better. If she isnt, maybe it’s time to find another hostess. She definitely should not be the first face you see at this restaurant. It immediately took off 1 star before we...

I took my family here for cinco de Mayo and I don’t think we will be back. I always wondered how places like this get so many stars. I feel bad for the service staff because they are very kind. I simply think the management is not up to task. We ordered frozen margaritas. Not too bad. Lemonade was great. That’s where the compliments end. The nacho chips were not very tasty. The cheese (queso?) barely had any flavor. The tacos are small and average tasting. My wife liked her quesadilla. My son had the chicken fingers and French fries which looked like prison food. The worst part was that the food took an hour. I asked the staff why it’s taking so long and they were nice to offer me a shot of tequila or free dessert. The reason why they took so long was because (their words), they had a lot of Uber eats orders. Well, that’s just bad management. The table next to us of about 15 people walked out after getting sick of the wait. Can’t say I blame them. My goal is not to punish the nice staff with a bad review. It is to simply warn you before you step foot inside that the food is not anywhere near the Google review star...

This is long overdue. What can I say? Years and years of consistency and it only got better. Want an amazing and authentic meal at a very fair price point? This is your go-to and no other place can stack up. No hype, no dramatic marketing campaign, just fantastic food FAST! Amazing chips and salsa (not spicy) and the garlic sauce and chimichurri are so mouth watering! I do prefer their Cuban options, but the Mexican side of the menu is no joke! Even the bread basket is ridiculously cheap and so wonderful for a group! I have NEVER had a bad meal there and we are kinda picky! 😖 Even for my birthday, my fiance knew to order Don Pepe take out for the gathering. The only time we've ever had slow service was when our family went there for a holiday and they were short staffed with huge parties seated. Lesson learned. But make no mistake, this is some of the finest food in South Florida and it's the gem of Pembroke Pines! Thank you for making my taste buds happy.😋 Other restaurants could learn a...

Without a doubt, one of the best restaurants in South Florida—at any price. That being said, prices are very, very reasonable. Consistently provides excellent (Mexican, Cuban, and more!) food and absolutely exceptional service. What you’d hope for and expect in an owner run restaurant. Have tried many menu items and have never been disappointed. They make amazing Mojitos and have the best black beans! Make sure to leave room for a flan or other awesome end to your meal, and one of their incredible cappuccinos which are served with an artistic flair! By the way, if you like airplanes, you’ll be at the right place, as you’ll get to see many aircraft taking off or landing at North Perry Airport which is right next door! Certainly makes for an enjoyable dinner date, family event, or midday lunch! Staff speaks both English and Spanish. Highly recommend, without any hesitation.

Visited Don Pepe Restaurant III in Pembroke Pines, Florida and had a delightful dining experience! The Fish Tacos were absolutely delicious—perfectly seasoned and expertly presented, truly a treat for the taste buds. For dessert, the Flan was equally divine, with a creamy texture and just the right amount of sweetness. Alongside my meal, I enjoyed a rich and robust Double Espresso that was just the pick-me-up I needed. Our awesome server, Kerliz 🌹, added to the experience with her exceptional hospitality. She was attentive, friendly, and truly made us feel welcome. It’s service like hers that makes a meal memorable! I highly recommend visiting Don Pepe Restaurant III. Be sure to watch as your food is prepared; it’s part of the charm of this place. Don’t miss out on a great meal and wonderful service—make it your next dining destination!

I went to this place a few months ago and even though there was a mixup with what we ordered the food was good. Chips and salsa were great and the tacos were good, but this time it was raining so we decided to order in instead. What a difference, the chips were very burnt, the salsa was watery and my taco salad was just some bean purée and a bunch of melted cheese with some shrimp on top. Like where is the lettuce in my SALAD? I only ate the shrimp and it was good, my friend’s chicken tacos she say were ok but overall this was such a disappointment. Like I’m sure these people would not serve this if we were eating there as we would have return both items immediately. The chips were not even eatable. I feel like I wasted $50 as I was still so hungry after eating the little I could eat from what I ordered.
