I am writing this review with the utmost seriousness and concern, as my recent experience at Ricky’s Sports Bar and Grill has left me both physically and emotionally shaken. What should have been a casual dining experience turned into a life-threatening ordeal, and I feel compelled to share my story in hopes of preventing others from going through what I did.

I visited Ricky’s Sports Bar and Grill recently, looking forward to a meal and some time spent with friends. Unfortunately, I now realize that my decision to dine there was a grave mistake. Not long after consuming my meal, I began to experience severe abdominal pain, nausea, dizziness, and uncontrollable vomiting. The symptoms escalated rapidly, and within a few hours, I was in excruciating pain, unable to keep anything down. I sought medical attention immediately and was rushed to the hospital, where doctors confirmed that I had contracted a severe case of food poisoning.

My condition worsened in the hospital, and I was informed that I was suffering from foodborne illness likely due to unsanitary practices in the kitchen. The infection was so severe that I was placed under intensive care, and I was informed that I came dangerously close to a life-threatening situation. The physical toll this took on my body was immense, and it took several days for me to even begin to recover.

To make matters worse, I later learned that my teacher, who had dined at Ricky’s Sports Bar and Grill the same week, experienced nearly identical symptoms and was also hospitalized. The similarities in our cases suggest a clear link to the establishment’s food safety practices—or lack thereof. After doing some research, I found reports indicating that foodborne illnesses in restaurants can often be attributed to poor hygiene, improper food handling, or cross-contamination, all of which seem to have been the case here.

Given the severity of my experience, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment to anyone. I normally don’t leave reviews, but I feel it’s my responsibility to warn others about my horrifying experiences at Rickey’s Sports Bar & Grill. This place has jeopardized my health not once but twice, and I narrowly avoided a life-threatening situation.

The first time I got food poisoning from Rickey’s, I thought it might have been a fluke. Mistakes happen, right? But after giving them a second chance, I deeply regret my decision. The symptoms after dining there the second time were far worse: violent nausea, unbearable stomach cramps, and dehydration that landed me in the hospital. I genuinely felt like I was fighting for my life.

It’s appalling that a restaurant serving the public could have such poor food handling practices. Whether it’s improper food storage, unclean preparation, or expired ingredients, something seriously dangerous and sinister is happening in their kitchen. For this to happen twice is inexcusable.

I urge the management to take immediate action and reevaluate every aspect of their food safety and hygiene protocols. If they don’t, it’s only a matter of time before someone else faces a similarly traumatic or worse experience.
