Mother Anna's Restaurant and Bar — Restaurant in Pembroke

So disappointed in Mother Anna's in Pembroke. Ordered catering for Xmas Eve which included Chicken Broccoli and Ziti with Alfredo Sauce which I made very clear when placing my order. Husband picked complete order up and when he got home I noticed they gave me Chicken Broccoli and Ziti with garlic sauce, I made a call and was told the Chef decided he wouldn't be making any Alfredo Sauce just the garlic sauce, Told them I was very disappointed and had I known that I wouldn't have kept the order. I explained nobody I was serving liked the garlic sauce and this was a waste for me. I also told them they should have called people before hand letting them know this...I was told sorry it was a miscommunication with the chef....so end of story I paid for something I ended up putting out but not many ate it... total waste of money. Called a few days later to talk to the owner about getting my $35.00 back for something I didn't order.... and was told the owner Alan is in and out all day. I explained to the woman who answered and was told she will have Alex the Manager give me a call this afternoon around 4:00....never heard from Alex so I called again At 7:25 PM. Alex answered the phone and said "sorry was going to call but we've been slammed" explained my problem and was told that was there version of Alfredo,.. that's not my version of Alfredo but rather plain out Garlic Sauce.., hate when people discount and think I am a total idiot. Explained to him what I was told when I called about the miscommunication with the chef and the chef deciding not to make Alfredo and he apologized and said the individual answering the phone should not have said that...get your s!!! and stories together. I was told the owner was out of town on vacation, when I told him the woman who I spoke to earlier told me he was in and out all day he said yes he's on vacation in Philadelphia and is back and fourth and there was nothing he could do until he talked to the owner and would call me back the next day around 4:00.... it's been three days now and no call back. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE unless your okay with being treated like a not so...

A very happy customer for many years, but one visit can change my whole course. I had a waitress today that we’ve had before, I called her miss personality, because she doesn’t seem to have one, but nevertheless, I had a lunch there today with my partner chicken creation, I order all the time, very familiar with that dish!! Not Once have I ever complained ever…. today was my first time!!! it was very bland. Taste like the pasta was not maybe drained well so it watered down the sauce ,,, therefore I asked if I could have some fresh sauce. The waitress said oh let me get the manager Manager came over and said she could get me some sauce. She continue to wipe down tables and see people and my partner finishes lunch, my food got cold and then she brought me over the sauce, and at that time the waitress walked by three times and never once filled out water glasses asked if we like something else or picked up a dish. She just ignored us altogether !!!!!! And because of that, I don’t think I’ll go back the mgr said he’s already done eating. My food is cold now what did she suggest that I take it with me so that’s what I did … waitress came over and slap the bill down in front of us, we put up a credit card , she hadn’t come back to get it so we left cash and left, but that made it so that we don’t go there anymore and it’s a shame because through my grandchildren sports I was able to meet the young woman and her husband that run that restaurant, and I really really really liked them but the management there today and the waitress here today I wouldn’t walk back through those doors.. so sorry I had to post this because for so long it was my favorite...

My mother and I went to lunch at Mother Anna's this afternoon around 3pm. We sat in the dining room and received a copy of the lunch menu. We let our server know we wanted to place a few to go orders on top of what we were going to sit down and eat. We put the entire to go, appetizer, and entree order in at once. I ordered "fresh" calamari as it was printed on the menu, which turned out to be so chewy and tough I had to spit it out. (Was frozen not fresh) We also ordered Stuffed Mushrooms that were overseasoned with what seemed to be packaged seasoning (like garlic powder). The main courses of Chicken Parm and Eggplant Parm were delicious and our servers were great. But we noticed on the bill that we came in for lunch and were handed lunch menus , but we were charged dinner prices. Which isn't that much of a problem, but our hostess specifically mentioned how the to go orders were more than the lunch items when we sat down and we said that wouldnt be a an issue. Also a staff member came out of the kitchen and stared at my mother after I mentioned the calamari were not edible, which seemed unprofessional. Staff were also loudly talking and cursing about a customer's pickup order named "Melinda" , and were making some very crude comments that you could hear throughout the entire restaurant. My mother tried to call the restaurant to try to explain the issues and were told "It's the servers fault, she should have never gave you the lunch menus" which doesn't seem like they took her complaint serious.
