I use to eat at this place all the time when I worked in the area. The cheesesteaks and hoagies were amazing. When my family would come down on Saturdays to visit for lunch they always wanted to go to Leeās. I changed jobs and moved two hours north 6 years ago. Today I had to make a trip down that way. I went 40 minutes out of my way for my wife. The customer service was ridiculous. Itās like the guy at the register hates life and the customers he serves. I read off what my wife wanted and because it was not to his specifications he stood there shaking his head because he had to scribble a few letters off his note pad. I worked two doubles today and still went 40 mins round trip out of my way to stop in. I even mentioned I use to come there all the time and it was if I was invisible. There use to be a woman that worked there years and years ago. Thats when the customer service was the best. I actually thought she was the owner from the way she worked and talked to the customers. Last time Iāll ever order from Leeās or stop in. I had a business for years and my parents also. I never saw someone look so pissed and aggravated to serve others. Might want to find something different, if the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreGreat hoagies ,cheese steaks, even burgers and fries in the area. Its a very casual type of place compared to some of the newer places, but if you are looking for a great hoagie with fantastic bread and meats and toppings this is your place. Sandwiches are consistently good with fresh quality ingredients and toppings and meats. Much better than Jersey Mike's which I like on occasion. It all comes down to the bread which makes the sandwich. It is chewy on the outside and tender on the inside and the ratio of bread to meats and toppings is perfect. Most places have this doughy bread that doesn't hold up well and is more bread than meat. Lees hoagies is the way a hoagie should be. Perfectly balanced and delicious. It is the best in the area. They have a large seating area with booths and the service is friendly and helpful. It's a very casual place, but when you are craving a really good hoagie, it's the food that should do the talking not the surrounding. Prices are fair and portions are filling and most importantly fresh and delicious. This is so worth stopping in. Hours are mondays and Fridays until 7 pm other days until 4pm and closed on Sundays.Great...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreFirst time here and it was enough for me to want to return. I'm picky about my hoagies because I worked for Pennsylvania's Hoagie King who held the title and award for almost 10 years. Lee's hoagies are good hoagies and the pepper sauce they use in them is really good. A hoagie shop that sells lettuce sandwiches gets a very bad review from me because I expect meat on it when I want a sub. There's not a ton of meat on Lee's but there is plenty and lettuce is fairly light which is a plus imo! They use good meat and fresh vegetables and condiments, great tasting hoagies! The beef they use for their cheese steaks looked amazing! 3 stars because I prefer more meat than they used, I wasn't full on a half sub, and the prices could improve in my opinion. Where I'm from you get a 12+ inch boa-sized sub with 2lbs of meat in it for $8.50 or less (Farlow's in Philly and Pottsville, TNT and Tommy's in St. Clair, and other sub shops in that general area). Lee's hoagies taste amazing! But imo they could fill them with more meat for the price they charge.
This is my opinion. I'm entitled to my opinion. You don't have to like...
