Tops Choice Hamburgers — Restaurant in Pensacola

As a customer that grew up on Cervantes and love Tops, the customer service me and my sister received today was unprofessional. It's not even 11am and the worker in the window had a very rude attitude and demeanor. We weren't greeted with something as simple as a smile. My sister gave her order and was told she couldn't be heard with a attitude. She repeated her order and asked for a plain double meat burger w/ cheese and asked if she could add mayo. The worker acted like it inconvenienced her to say add mayo and said to the cook " Now she want to add mayo", while rolling her eyes. We disregarded and proceeded to pay with card. She passed the card reader out to me and turned and walked away. I held the reader until she came back and instead of her taking it from my hand she pulled it in by the cord and it hit the window carelessly and loudly. We still disregarded the attitude, until she handed the food out the window with force. I took the food and said " Well you have a good day as well." And she she yelled " No yall have a good day!". Very loud and ignorant and proceeded to yell from the walk up window after we pulled off. One thing about it, I love my black people and love supporting our businesses , but that is one of the main reasons why we fail, being spiteful for no reason. After hearing about this burger drive-thru joint, from one of my favorite YouTube podcast, Holden Hardman, I had to stop by and try this. I love supporting local businesses when I have the opportunity. But even more when there is amazing value. I had the double patty bacon cheeseburger, large fries and a soda. My gal had the veggie with cheese, large fries and a soda. If If I remember correct it was under $13. It was also the best hamburger I've had that wasn't made at home. Yes it's greasy, as one should expect from a great burger at a drive-thru joint. They very wisely serve it in a suitable wrapper that stands up well. The fries, my wife and I both agree, we're right out of the fryer and good quality. Drive through - park and eat: no indoor/outdoor seating. The worst part of this, is the temptation to go back through the line and get another burger! I've been here half a dozen times now - and it's always consistently great. Review...

I have been coming to this place for a very long time but more often now that I'm pregnant and I've never had any issues with their customer service until recently. For some strange reason, the lady with the last name Cook seems to forget that she's in the customer service industry because she doesn't want to talk and doesn't want anyone to talk to her. She doesn't greet the customer, doesn't tell them which bag is which, and doesn't even say have a nice day. One day the card machine wasn't working so we had to go get cashand when I told her that I would be right back, her expression was like 😒. I almost said forget it but again, I'm 6 months pregnant and this baby wants what he wants. Today, I think will be my last time going if I have to interact with her. It's way too hot for all of that.
