Came to BJ’s restaurant and brewhouse April 20,2024 for dinner around 4pm. Lucky for me walking in the door started prime time steak hour which has a special deal on Friday and Saturday which is a 3 course meal for one which starts out with a house soup or salad and is followed up by a 15 ounce prime ribeye steak With your choice of two house sides. I choose the house mashed potatoes loaded of course with the roasted asparagus. The meal was very hearty and flavorful you have to really savor each bite you take it’s amazing. The steak was perfectly cooked but it did have a lot of fatty areas which I personally don’t like but the steak was one of the best I’ve had besides BJs filet mignon which we’ll talk about in just a minute. The prime rib special also comes with desert called a pizookie. The pizookie is a hot fudge brownie at the bottom with 2 scoops of ice cream whip cream and a cherry on top all for the price of $33. This restaurant has a lot of options for food but the quality of the meal you get for the price is absolutely great especially the 3 course meal but make sure you come in and at 4 when it starts because they are very limited on the deal. I ordered around 430pm and our server advised there were only 10 prime ribeye specials left for the night so yeah get it while you can. My wife ordered the filet mignon which she didn’t finish her steak and let me try it and hands down one of the best if not the best filet mignon I have ever eaten. The steak was so soft and tender but absolutely juicy. You can taste the thyme the rosemary and they drizzle it with a sauce that I could not even begin to tell you what it is but it was just amazing. For drinks I ordered the amber oasis beer it’s a light amber ale and it has hints of vanilla and kind of taste like a baked treat but it was a very good. My wife ordered the Tito’s strawberry lemonade that has fresh strawberries, a lemon slice and Tito’s vodka. I’m not one for mixed drinks often but this drink was definitely a drink I can drink all day long it felt like a warm summer evening by the pool highly recommend 10/10. This place also creates and makes their own cream sodas with multiple flavors and man I wish I had them on tap at my house I couldn’t even get a picture of my drink to post on here because I took one sip and I couldn’t get enough. The flavor was great and they bring you the drink in a frozen glass mug what I treat I can’t wait to come back and have more. The atmosphere in the restaurant when you walk in has dim lighting and has an elegant fancy restaurant feeling but has still a craft brewery look to it also. The hospitality of the servers and greeters were very helpful and were attentive the entirety of our visit thank you. I will be returning and will give the business a...
Read moreWhat a terrible experience. I've ordered from here before and had no issues. Today was a different story. The actual issue didn't upset me as much as the managers response did. I believe his name was Steve. So I ordered a meal directly from BJs website to be delivered to my place of work. After it showing as having been picked up for an hour, I called the store to see what was going on. The person who answered advised me that my order had never been picked up by the third party vendor they use to deliver which happened to be doordash. I explained that I tried contacting the number provided on my tracker, but it stated that the number was invalid so I would just like a refund. The person asks me to wait while they get the manager. When the manager comes on the phone, I explain the situation and again ask for a refund. I'm then told I could come pick my food up instead. I explain that the reason for delivery is because I am the only one at work and am unable to leave. He then tells me he will give me doordash's number to find out why they didn't pick up my food. I ask him why I would need to contact doordash as I did not go through them, I went through the restaurant so it should not be my responsibility to find out why they didn't pick up my food. He then stated that "as all national chains do" they use a third party vendor and it is not their responsibility to make sure they do their job. I again asked for a refund and pointed out that at this point my food had been sitting there for an hour and I would just like to be refunded. He said he would refund then rudely hung up the phone on me without even telling me how long it would take to see the refund or apologizing or anything.
Now I don't always write reviews. Only if my service is extremely good or poor. I have to say, I hope BJ's takes this as a learning experience. 1st, if you are using a third party vendor but offering the service through your own website, it should be your responsibility if that third party vendor isn't doing the right thing. 2nd, there is a way to talk to customers and this is not it. This could have been taken care of quickly if the manager had given me the refund I asked for in the beginning, but it seemed like he was unhappy that he would not have to be out the cost of that food and he was taking it out on me. I won't order from them again that's for sure. I hope this helps anyone thinking about...
Read moreHighly disappointed. For the price, they need to step up their game on service. Went with a party of six. Had to ask for straws. Had to ask for appetizer plates. Waiter specifically asked if we’d ever been there before and when we said no, not one recommendation or suggestion. This is where the service fell short. I felt like I kept having to get his attention when drinks needed to be filled, to go boxes were needed, dessert was needed, when there was issues with our food. Never came to ask us how we were doing on his own…until the end and I was already ready to get out. He didn’t suggest one of the specials. When one of the specials were ordered, we were notified they were out. Understandable. Every time he had to leave to get something that was missing for messed up or a flavored non alcoholic drink, he was gone forever. There were busy when we first got there about 7pm and then it was nearly empty on our side of the restaurant. So you would think he wouldn’t be gone for long periods of time. One person ordered a well done steak and it was too pink. They took it back, but then items from their plate were missing so again we had to wait….personally I was the most let down. My vegetables were cold. That’s the first thing I tried to eat because I realize they lose heat, but they were inedible. I couldn’t ask for a fresh plate because like I mentioned by this time I was ready to take my time and money elsewhere. My potatoes were cold on the outside and lukewarm on the inside. My steak was also undercooked and lukewarm. Sad part is the flavor for the potatoes and the steak was good. But who eats cool food? If my server would have been more caring and attentive, maybe I would have felt comfortable to ask for fresh food. It was as if my plate was made first and sat out. I was looking forward to trying one of the desserts, but again I was so disappointed in everything thus far I didn’t want to give anymore money to this establishment. This was our first time. I will not be back anytime in the near future. If I come back it will be after I heal from this highway robbery and read a bunch of recent real good reviews. You can do so...
