We had the opportunity to visit EscapeRoom60 in Pensacola and tried out their Pirate Themed Room. While the experience was undeniably enjoyable, there were a few aspects that left me with mixed feelings.
First and foremost, I must commend the design and creativity put into the Pirate Themed Room. The attention to detail in the room's decoration and ambiance made us feel like we had truly stepped into a pirate's lair. The puzzles and challenges were well-thought-out, keeping us engaged and entertained throughout the hour. Solving them required teamwork and creative thinking, which added an exciting layer to the overall experience.
However, there was one significant downside that left a sour taste in our mouths – the pricing. At $30 per adult, the EscapeRoom60 experience can get expensive. We had a group of four adults and 2 children, and we thought the cost came to a whopping $120. The real shocker came later when we realized that the two young children we brought along were also to be charged as additional adults after the fact, pushing the total cost for our group of 4 adults and 2 children to over $180 for just one hour of entertainment. This pricing structure felt excessive, especially for families or groups with kids. They also offered no discounts or promos at the time.
While I understand that escape rooms require meticulous planning and maintenance, this pricing strategy may alienate potential customers, especially those with families. It's essential to be transparent about pricing for children to avoid misunderstandings resulting in disappointments and surprise additional charges. The steep price tag for an hour's entertainment at EscapeRoom60 in Pensacola makes it challenging to recommend, even with the enjoyable Pirate...
Read moreThe first room guide was very rude. In the second game, we didn’t have a marker to write for the half of the game, and we kept asking for one the entire game until a worker brought it in. Most of the puzzles felt awkwardly put together, though I could see the thought behind it. The puzzles fit the theme of the room well, but felt as if there weren’t enough hints to lead you to/ through each puzzle, or said hints technically didn’t make sense. We are a family that has done many escape rooms in many different states, and this room did not have too much of a “wow” factor upon entering. The bathroom really needed to be cleaned as well. I usually try to be optimistic when entering an escape room, but the vibe we received from the first room worker was very off putting, as if our presence was a nuisance. The second worker was kinder to us, but he prompted us to complete the room with a cocky tone, though none of us...
Read moreWe were there for vacation about 2 weeks ago, and saw there was some escape rooms and we decided to show up at this one. We have been to other escape rooms elsewhere, where we wouldn’t have to make a reservation. That’s not our problem, I can understand that. The problem is, the dude in there was completely off-putting straight off the bat to us because we didn’t know we had to make one. The employee had alot of attitude with us “ummmm Can I help you..?” before we even got a word out, acting like it’s an issue we even walked through the doors. Idk it threw us off. I would’ve understood as well if we were jerks to him, but like I said, we...
