I've been a regular customer at this cupcake shop for a while because the cupcakes are usually soft, fresh, and delicious—exactly what you'd expect when you're paying close to $5 per cupcake. In the past, I've always been happy with the quality. However, on a recent visit, I was given a cupcake that was noticeably firm and dry. I brought it right back in, and to their credit, they replaced it with one from the rack in the back that was perfectly soft and fresh—back to the quality I'm used to. Unfortunately, it happened again during my most recent visit. I was given another dry, firm cupcake (a blueberry one this time), and since I had already left and traveled too far, I wasn’t able to return it. It was disappointing, especially considering the price and how consistent the freshness used to be. At this point, I’ll probably start asking for cupcakes from the back rack just to make sure they’re fresh. I’m not sure why the ones up front have been dry lately, but it’s happened twice now, and I hope it’s not becoming a trend. The shop still has great cupcakes when they’re fresh—I just hope the consistency improves...

I recently had a custom cake done. I sent a couple pics in along with the request. I did not specify what color icing for the cake. One example did have blue icing, one with white….but oh my gosh….I picked up a dark blue cake that stained everything it touched. I try to stay away from artificial food dyes as much as possible, so I would’ve never asked for a blue cake. I guess because I never specified, they just went ahead with the blue icing without verifying which color I wanted. This was a ceremony in dress whites! This was a bit of a disaster with most of the cake being thrown away.

I didn’t not say “make the navy blue cake.” I sent two pictures and requested something similar to either of those in regards to the design and wing placement. I never requested you specifically make a navy blue cake. I also never specified the color of icing, nor did you ask or verify that either. Also, I didn’t raise any concerns because your employee was extremely RUDE to me when I was picking up the cake and I honestly didn’t feel like getting into any...

Me & my grandmother always drove by smallcakes every time I would take her to her doctor’s appointment, so one day we decided to stop in & we definitely were not disappointed. My grandmother absolutely loves the red velvet cupcake & I adore the Cookie Monster ice cream & they’re cake pops. The lobby was extremely clean & neat, Michelle was extremely sweet & very helpful, especially with helping my grandmother choose her favorite cupcake (there is so many options to choose from) Michelle also recommended getting my grandmother’s puppy a pupcake & let me tell you, her puppy was in love. We have went back in several times since our first visit & will continue coming back for all our sweet treats ❤️ definitely recommend to anyone questioning whether they should stop in. I know Michelle will go above & beyond to make you experience one of a kind just like she did for us!
