Maybe it was just an off day, but the ding experience was horrible & the food was not too good either. They are under staffed trying their best, but seemed not so well managed.
First clue to not eat there started with the hostess seating us. Not friendly with a put off attitude and NO menues! She said "can't you look online?" To which my husband said, no. So she says, "well, let me go look for one. I might be able to one." This to a table of 4. The waitress was apologetic & seemed surprised when she came to serve us some time later asking if we were ready to order. Still without menues. Finally a single copy of the menu arrived for the 4 of us to share.
We ordered appetizers to to buy time while each of us took turns looking at the menu to make our selections. We were all excited until the food came. 3 out of 4. Two of which were over cooked. Didn't know you could ruin a quesadilla, but you can if the brisket is dry & burnt. My shrimp taco arrived late cause they said it was made wrong & had to redo it. (???) The side scoop of rice was dry & inedible as were the beans though they were a bit watery. The 4th dish was a pasta & my son never complains.
The waitress worked hard in refilling drinks before asked & brought us the bill when asked. We paid using their self pay units on the table. Then waited for a very long time for take-out boxes, because the a whole tray of food got dropped & broke all over the floor. Poor overworked waitress had to do everything. During cleanup 5 customers waiting to be seated left. We finally had to flag a another worker for a box. Our waitress delivered it with burns on her hands & wrist. We asked for our paid receipt & left promptly upon its arrival.
Note: you cannot blame the waitress. She was working so hard to cover so many tables on her own. But I do blame the management for running such a bad operation. Not having enough copies of the menu, under staffed, poor cooks, no one bussing, poorly trained hostess, etc.
Will not be returning here. Waste of time & money. It was so awful of an experience, I never even took pictures which I...
Read more⭐⭐ (2 STARS) CHILI’S – PENSACOLA, FL Y’ALL GAVE RONNIE COLEMAN A SLIM JIM AND CALLED IT DINNER.
LISTEN UP.
Mama D took her grandbaby Cam — now Cam ain’t no lil boy. This child built like Ronnie Coleman in a church suit, muscles on muscles, look like he bench press refrigerators for cardio. He walk in and folks movin’ out the way like Moses partin’ the Red Sea.
Cam say, “Granny, I want that 10oz guiltless sirloin, medium rare, with cilantro and pico.” I said, “You sure baby? That’s all?” He said, “Yeah Granny, I’m cuttin’ for summer.”
Okay cool. We sit down. Everything fine. Server was sweet — had that “I’m tryna quit but rent due” energy.
BUT BABY…
The steak hit the table lookin’ like a Flat Stanley protein bar. DRY. NO JUICE. Looked like it was grilled on a windowsill in Arizona. And don’t EVEN get me started on the missing cilantro and pico. That steak was sittin’ there bare like it forgot to get dressed.
I looked at Cam. Cam looked at me. We both looked at the steak like it just farted on the table.
I said, “This ain’t 10oz. This ain’t medium rare. This ain’t even medium HOPE.”
Cam tried to chew it and his jaw started cramping. I said, “Don’t pull a muscle, baby. You got practice tomorrow.” He said, “Granny, this steak got me chewin’ like a goat in a drought.”
AND TELL ME WHY THE SERVER JUST SMILED AND SAID, “Sorry about that, y’all!” LIKE MA’AM. This man out here built like Planet Fitness and you served him a toddler portion of sadness.
I still tipped, because I’m from Detroit and I got manners. But LAWD. Chili’s, that steak wasn’t guiltless — it was joyless.
2 STARS FROM MAMA D: ⭐ One for the server who tried. ⭐ One for the napkins. 🚫 Minus stars for playin’ with my grandbaby’s protein intake like that man ain’t squattin’ Buicks.
Do better Chili’s. Cam didn’t bulk for 6 months just to get served a sizzlin’ disappointment.

Read more8/26/2025 - I received a reply from Chili's Grill and Bar in Pensacola, but could tell that they did not thoroughly read my review. .
We stopped in Saturday Aug 23, 2025 to get a couple of cocktails, and I did something I never do and sat at the bar. We ordered the President's Margaritas. I ordered Dragon Fruit and my fiancé ordered the Traditional: when I tell you it's a showstopper, they were both well balanced and perfect. ! And, the chips and dip were great as well.
Now then, let's talk about the service at the bar. There was a man sitting at the bar that obviously thought that the bartender was his personal bartender and he never stopped demanding her attention, which was off-putting to say the least. I had to ask for straws for water, and napkins as well period. The pretty bartender was quite competent and very clean. However , she was obviously distracted and engaged in the conversation in a way that was less than professional as she was even looking through his phone and discussing things with him while we sat and waited for service at times. The atmosphere was lovely and I made mention of it to the manager on my way out. I would definitely go back again. I've attached some pretty nice photos for you. Enjoy and let me know what your...
