This little coffee/kava shop is hands down my favorite place to hang out. The vibe is warm, relaxed, and welcoming. Whether you're popping in for a quick drink or planning to stay a while. The baristas are all incredibly friendly and genuine, and you can tell they actually care about the people who walk through the door. The owners are just as awesome. It's rare to find a business where everyone seems so invested in creating a true community.
The drinks are top-tier, whether you're into coffee, kava, or something else entirely. You can taste the quality and care in everything they make. There’s also a cozy outdoor area that makes it easy to chill with friends or just enjoy a quiet moment outside.
And if you’re around on a Wednesday night, don’t miss their open mic, it’s one of the best around. Live music, poetry, performances… it’s always full of talent and good energy.
All in all, this place has heart. If you’re looking for a great drink, cool people, and a space that feels like a second home, you’ll...
Read morePacific Kava is such a breath of fresh air. An incredibly cozy and welcoming atmosphere, coupled with top tier service. Jim, one of the kavatenders, helped me navigate the menu in finding a drink that was just right for me, sharing samples along the way. Their in-house brews actually tasted phenomenally, which is a stark contrast to most of my personal kava experiences!
Keri, one of the owners, is actively involved with the location which is a nice change of pace, showing that they are actively looking to improve and serve the community that they foster. With a week full of events that they promote in the area, they seem to be a strong beacon of community for the Pensacola area, and I'm properly excited to be a part of it!
If you're new to the Kava and Kratom world, this is an exceptional place to start, and if it's not your first rodeo with the two, it's even better! They know their stuff! Highly recommended! (One more...
Read moreThis is the "Where Everybody Knows Your Name" Cheers of the Coffee world. While visiting the area, I was looking for a well crafted cappuccino. I stopped at a trendy coffee bar in downtown Pensacola. One sip and I knew the barista was inexperienced. Determined, I found Pacific Kava Bar on Belmont; an off the beaten path gem. Alex, the barista pulled a nice espresso topped with a creamy micro-froth that satisfied my craving. It doesn't end there. I sat at the bar with my traveling companion and quickly felt like this was the neighborhood coffee shop I wanted back home. Alex as well as the locals (clearly regulars) made the conversation rich, interesting and hard to want to leave. It felt like a subculture rich with well informed, free thinkers, with an air of genuine hospitality. If this sounds like something you'd like, I suggest you...
