Alla Prima Coffee Roaster â where the coffee is decent, the parking is a mythical concept, and the art prices will make you reconsider your own artistic potential.
Tried a regular latte with their spiced brown sugar flavor â not bad, and I appreciate the decaf option. Also sampled the blueberry ube latte, which was⌠interesting. Earthy, unique aftertaste, definitely a conversation starter â but $8.50 for a 12 oz cup? Thatâs artisan pricing for a drink that confused my taste buds.
Service was friendly and solid. The interior? Itâs fine. Nothing to write home about unless you're really into slightly overpriced paintings and crochet pieces. Honestly, some of that art had me thinking âI couldâve made this â and I can barely draw stick figures.â
The real villain here is the parking. Itâs essentially a scavenger hunt with the looming threat of being towed. Street parking only, and every nearby lot is guarded like Fort Knox unless youâre shopping elsewhere.
Overall: Come if you're nearby and curious, but maybe donât make a pilgrimage â and definitely donât come if parallel parking gives...

I decided on a panini, and let me just sayâit was amazing! It even came with plantain chips, which I was hesitant about at first, but they turned out to be the perfect, delicious surprise. I also ordered a vanilla bean cold brew, which hit the spot.
When I arrived to pick up my order, I noticed the cafĂŠ was clean, cozy, and very well-kept. Iâll definitely be back to enjoy breakfast in-house one morning. Plus, they sell local artâwhich I absolutely love! This place has a great vibe and some real hidden gems on the menu....

However, the price, size and flavor do not properly offset the price tag. I could have gone to Starbucks and gotten a seasonal latte that was bigger for much less. The blackberry specialty drink is too heavy handed on the sage and not enough blackberry. However, the lemon meringue was perfect! The croissant was the same issue as the coffee where the portion size for $7 was way too small. Again, I love small businesses and want to see this place succeed but they are going to price themselves out of business if an adjustment...
