We cannot recommend Anita Deem highly enough. Our home-buying experience started smoothly, but quickly turned into a complete and unexpected fiasco due to the behavior of the sellers. If it weren't for Anita and her realtor husband, Jim (two for one bonus with this power couple), we absolutely would have walked away from the entire deal at the eleventh hour. Being over 1400 miles away, we relied on Anita & Jim and our friends to keep an eye out for us since we couldn't be there in person.

Anita was an unwavering advocate for us every step of the way, keeping us informed and checking in almost daily on the progress. The sellers refused to address items found during the inspection before closing, failed to disclose major issues with the pool even when asked directly, and attempted to breach the contract by trying to sell items we had already purchased with the house (our local friends alerted us to this attempt and Anita took action for us immediately). They even took other items that were supposed to convey with the house and didn't vacate the property until just hours before closing. They did leave broken junk from their yard sale and gas/chemicals in the shed we now have to try and dispose of properly. We did get a home warranty but it doesn't cover the pool repairs needed or the gas fireplace issues.

Throughout this incredibly stressful process, Anita and Jim maintained their professionalism and composure. They navigated bizarre situations, including a moment where the sellers accused our party of four and our realtors of plotting to hiding in a closet and attack later. The seller's realtor did leave us a $50 gift card towards replacing the thousand dollars of items missing. When we reached our breaking point and were ready to give up, Anita was the one who kept the deal from falling apart.

While we are now facing thousands of dollars in unexpected costs due to the state the house was left in, we are confident that we would not even be homeowners in Seaglades North without Anita's expertise and tireless dedication. Once we get past this setback, we'll have a wonderful Florida home for years to come. We are truly grateful for their incredible work and highly recommend...
