O O O where do I start. Well I have never been to this restaurant. So we gave it a shot. They was not packed at all. Order the corn dip, a chicken salad, and meat sweats. Took quite a while. Server says the corn dip is going to come out after the mains. I was like what? Ha. So she brings it out first anyway. 🤔 Grab a chip and dig it in........cold as you can see in picture it looks like clay in a desert drying out like it was made earlier and sat forever. I said is that supposed to be cold? She says no. I say we'll it is. Takes it back. Then brings out the salad and meat tray. It has pork ribs, pulled pork, brisket, jalapeño links, baked beans, Mac N cheese, coleslaw, fried okra texas toast. The chicken was meh ok but best thing on the tray fall off the bone but dry. Ribs tuff not fall off the bone, brisket tuff and it was a fatty piece, pulled pork sauced no flavor. If you need sauce something is wrong, link was OK but to spicy I just want the pepper flavor with a lil kick not a flaming night on the John, Mac n cheese good, coleslaw good not cold enough I like it ice box cold, okra good tasted like it was air fried not sure though, toast was good but probably frozen texas toast, beans taste like van camps bbq beans cheap. Then she bring the dip back out the warmed up the same one put some cheese on top but it didn't even melt that cheese so yeh. Now we know what level of BBQ this IS A TOURIST TRAP. Not worth the money. I know good and bad BBQ this is not good.

Calling all meat lovers!🥓🥩🍗🍖 The Pensacola Smokehouse offers a variety of smoked meats and sides for all taste buds! Atmosphere: Located where South Market used to be, the restaurant is snuggled in downtown just a few blocks away from Palafox! They have indoor and outdoor seating with a cozy interior and a beautifully lit up exterior! Service: The waitress that was serving us consistently checked up on us, answered questions about the menu, and was attentive in taking care of us! Menu items: We got The Pursuit of Meat Sweats which is the perfect choice if you’d like to eat for two and try a little bit of everything! The tray comes with five different meats, four sides, two slices of garlic bread, and sauces on the side! All of the meat selections were tender and smoked to perfection. The menu overall is fairly simple: appetizers, sandwiches, a salad, BBQ platters, sides, and desserts in addition to three different BBQ sauces, so you can get a sauce flight to try with all of the meat! There are also serve a lot of gluten free options!

Been here a handful of times and haven’t had a bad experience. I love that you can craft your own mule all the way from the type of liquor down to the flavor. In addition to that, the meat always taste fresh and the homemade pork rinds with beer cheese to dip are always a must. During my last visit I tried the loaded tots with brisket. While I’m pretty sure this is typically a shareable appetizer , It was just enough for me. The brisket was juicy and had a great flavor when paired with the chief BBQ sauce on top. (The brisket sandwich is also amazing with a beautifully toasted bun.) Next time, I’ll try to brave the pursuit of the meat sweats, but in the mean time - GO TRY IT Also, don’t let any fear of parking near downtown make you shy away from trying this place. They will validate your parking for 2 hrs as long as you tell them your plate number.

We are in Florida for spring break. Our youngest daughter has just been diagnosed with Celiac and it has been very frustrating to find a restaurant that specializes in gluten free! Well Pensacola smokehouse went above and beyond! We decided to visit Sunday afternoon, they were extremely short staffed ( they were very up front about the Wait time) , letting us know it would be an hours Wait. We had nothing else to do except wait for the storm to pass so we decided to wait. BEST decision of our life! The head chef was gone, no waitresses but one, one female bartender and a guy bartender and a restaurant full of customers. They were so personable, helpful, and were so apologetic over our wait, I actually started feeling bad for them. We ended up getting our food and OMG it was the best food we have eaten all weekend! We couldn't ask for a better team on helping us with the gluten free issue. They made sure they did not cross contaminate anything! Our youngest had the Barrancas potato with pulled pork..... She couldn't finish it all! She wanted to try the Mac and cheese so bad because one of our other kids got it... The next thing I know, the girl bartender brought her out a lil sample of the gluten free and completely made her day. As stressed as the staff was, they never showed it, they took time with our large family, and made us feel like we the only ones there. They had to close early because they had no help .... They ended up closing while we were still eating.... Never once rushing us at all! They explained the owner has Celiac and she makes her restaurants celiac friendly...... Wow! We are trying her other restaurant tomorrow.... Can't wait for the food there either. The three employees we had today made the trip so worth while Everytime we are in Pensacola we will have at least one meal there. We had the pulled pork.... Best I have ever eaten! We had the smash burger... My daughter raved about it .. in fact she Gulped it down before we got our food half way gone! One had the chicken strips and they are the largest I have ever seen! Never once let our drinks get empty, and the appetizer of the pork skins and beer cheese..... Definitely scrumptious! Thank you Pensacola Smokehouse for making our trip so memorable! You have lifetime...

Update: Went a second time. Got the brisket plate - with mac & cheese and a side of collar greens. OMG. So delicious. I still wish they had menus. Had to use my friend's phone because my phone was dead. The waitress was super nice and helpful. All in all- grade A experience! The atmosphere was top notch too!

Direction Note: Took me and my friend about 15-20min to find the place. It behind a couple of small buildings beside Pensacola Bay Brewery. The building itself is the black building north on Main St.

Review: To start, Mac n cheese was absolutely amazing! Best mac n cheese I had in a while. Second, Do not get the bake beans, had a very weird flavor. In fact, all the bbq sauce had a weird flavor to be honest. Definitely did not care much for their sauce. Ranch also was weird, almost milky with no flavor. The traditional sauce, however, tasted really good on the smoked meats (blended perfectly). Potato salad was pretty bland. ALL the meat choices were really good (we tried pulled pork, sausage, brisket, and chicken)! The brisket was hands down the best!!! They don't have menu, so be sure to have your phone to do their QR code (I personally don't like this because I try to keep my phone away during dates or with friends; my phone might be dead; or you don't have the QR code initially on android or older devices). Also the server tried to be cool and remember everything. He forgot a lot. Fried pickles were good but they don't give you many. Atmosphere of the restaurant was spot-on👌 perfect. The smells just made it better. We also ate outside which made it more enjoyable too. For a local bbq restaurant downtown, the price was definitely on par.

I definitely recommend: Brisket plate with mac n cheese with the traditional sauce. (You will be 110% highly satisfy)

If the server doesn't have a booklet, you may have to remind them of item he/she forgets. And be sure to bring your phone 😂 My experience this time would be 3.5-4.0 star rating. Rounding up since they are new, and I'm pretty sure they will be even...

Our first time visiting this establishment..

We walked in about 5pm, was shocked, but were happy it wasn't busy . We were told to sit wherever. We sat and took about 5 mins before we were asked for our drink order. We ordered our drinks, said we needed a bit to look at the menu, BUT we had a to go order and wanted it put in right away, that it DID NOT MATTER if it got cold, because it wasn't going to be eaten until late this evening.

We had a few minutes to look over the menu and ordered. The first order was a baked potato WITH brisket. The second order was a brisket sandwich. VERY DISAPPOINTED IN BOTH! The baked potato had very little brisket. It was like they diced up a slice and sprinkled it on top, very minimal. The brisket sandwich again had very little brisket ratio to the bread. Bread was thick and should have had more brisket so you could actually taste it.

So we finished our meal and waitress came over for our payment, I asked for our to go order tbat we placed 30mins prior, BEFORE we even ordered our meal, server forgot to put the order in, but instead of being honest about it, said the order was put in when she saw we were half way thru our meal, she said so it wouldn't get cold, mind you I told her when we placed the order we were not concerned about it getting cold. Anyway, we wait and wait, and she comes back when I ask about our order she said the kitchen was backed up, IT WASN'T BUSY, and others that came in after us were getting their food. So we waited about another 10 minutes, finally we got up and left WITHOUT our to go order THAT WE PAID FOR, because we never got it. We got out of there at 630, and it still wasn't busy. There was no reason for such poor service

We will most likely not go back, more so because I believe the server forgot to put our to go order in AND I believe the kitchen forgot our order and instead of being honest with us we...
