Because I grew up just a few minutes down the street from this Taco Bell, we had become quite close over the years. Like any relationship, we've had our ups and downs, but we stuck by each other like lettuce to sour cream. We had our hard times, but they were nothing a double chalupa could not overcome. After moving away from the area, long-distance took its toll and our relationship became strained. I was worried even my beloved triple-double crunchwrap would not be enough to mend the cracked shell of our relationship. When my eyes first locked with the glowing sign after my first time back in years, I saw a spark of hope. I was certain our taco history was too long to let a few years take all of it away. Finally, I arrived in the drive-thru. I had spent a small percentage of my life in that drive-thru, and the memories came flooding back. Unfortunately, I was about to spend another small percentage of my life waiting for this order. As the first 15 minutes ticked by and only 2 or 3 cars got their food, my faith began to waiver. The energy that had once flowed through this taco paradise seemed depleted and weak. When I finally made it to the spot to place my order I was sure that my use of the Taco Bell app would impress and revive the dying heart of my childhood friend. It was not to be. Upon announcing my mobile order, Senor Bell simply asked for my drink order. The warm greeting I had come to expect was gone. To add to my pain, baja blast, mountain dew, diet mountain dew, gatorade, and sweet tea were all out. While holding back the tears, I barely managed to beg for whatever drink was left to quench the burning of my soul. Finally, 45 minutes after entering the drive-thru line, my tacos were ready. I was in an emotional frenzy, the excitement from yesteryear was gone, but surely a crunchwrap could drive all of the doubt away! When I finally opened my order, my heart sank within me. Half of the order was wrong with several items missing entirely and many of the other items not made correctly. Blinded by sadness, I could not even bring myself to pick up the phone. When I left Pensacola to return home, I thought back on my childhood and the times I had spent here. I refused to believe it was all over. It is with hope in my heart that I give 2 stars instead of 1. We've been through much, and our relationship is almost as strained as the week after you took my triple-double crunchwrap away, but time and tacos heal all wounds. I will keep hope in my heart that one day you will return to your former glory, and the energy that we once felt again surges through your lanes. Hasta la vista, Senor Bell,...
Read moreFirst of all, the managers and the staff are very rude and hateful. The food is absolutely horrible. We didn't get anything that we ordered correct. Was missing 74% of order due to incorrect food. There is literally meat on a taco 4 pieces of lettuce and no cheese that was supposed to be a taco supreme, not sure how that works. I'm a general manager myself. And the service that we received is horrible.. I feel that general manager Olivia needs to do a better job training. Her managers or choosing who she has as a manager. Because her staff tonight, it's horrible and evidently. Don't pay attention to anything. I mean, if you don't want to do your job, then why go there and get paid to do nothing? If you don't like it, find Something Else you'll like. You may be young. Teenagers are grown adults, but at least take care of your customers. If you're in a job with customer service. If you don't like what you do, then why do you do it. Not only would I as a manager refund my customer back what they paid for this, but I would offer to remake their food myself as the manager to make sure it was done correctly. In my job as a manager is to make sure my customers are happy and satisfied, so they come back so you would want to train your people to keep your business because if you don't give your customers satisfied in coming back. 90% chance you could end up, not having a way to get paid anymore without a customer base. So just remember the next time you make someone's food? Make it as if you were the one ordering it. What if that happened to you? Look at your product and think to yourself. Would I serve that to myself? If it looked like that, would I eat it if you wouldn't eat it or would be disappointed with it? Then why would you serve it to ...
Read moreI started coming here last year due to the better service and the fact that their tacos didn't fall apart immediately after opening (unlike the service and lack of quality at the one on Mobile Highway).
That is no longer the case. The service is now mediocre and their new volcano menu is a joke. "Double beef"? Does the picture look like double beef? You charged me almost $5 for this garbage.
Oh, and where the hell is the sauce? The last couple times I've come I've gotten some variation of no sauce, only mild, all fire and one mild, mostly mild with maybe 2 hot sauce, and more. All I want is hot and fire. Why ask me at the speaker and then put it on my receipt if I'm not going to get it? And then it's MY responsibility to check if YOU did your job? All I want is a few packets of hot sauce and a few packets of fire. It. Is. Not. That. Hard.
Why must I, the customer, have to check on YOUR work? You should have your own QA in there. I shouldn't have to check the bag at every damn fast food restaurant to make sure EVERYTHING I ordered is in there.
Ever wonder why CFA has a line out of the parking lot? Maybe every other restaurant should go find out.
Just another Taco Bell that I probably won't visit. For the price I'm paying, I shouldn't be responsible for your lack of sense and QA.
6/22/2025 update: $22.99 for 12 tacos (that's $1.91/taco). They all looked like the pictures I uploaded. Maybe I had to pay for the 4 handful of sauces that I got? Plenty of sauce, pretty much no taco.
Hey Taco Bell - have you been to Del Taco lately? Tacos cost a little more than yours, but they're filled to the brim (literally) with meat, lettuce, cheese. No joke. 1/3 of a block of cheese easily and meat to match....
