This place made me sad. My friend hyped it so much so we went and got like $60 of food between us two. Everything was bland. The thing that had the most flavor was the French fries that obviously came out of a food service box.
This isn’t a taste of Jerusalem. This is a taste of someone tired of their job and just can’t be bothered to care what it tastes like anymore. Curry had no flavor. Shawarma was wet and stringy. Falafel was hard and dry. Tzatziki was literally just plain low fat yogurt with no herbs or spices. Israeli salad was mushy bits of tomato and cucumber.
Anyone who’s ever been anywhere near Jerusalem would be beyond embarrassed by this food. It was depressing and the only upside is that my friend who hyped it was the one who paid so my wallet didn’t have to feel the sting of disappointment also.
The worst part? We waited like an hour...
Read moreTerrible service. I've ordered from this place multiple times and had no issues till today . . . For some reason uber didn't register the usual buy one get one free deal that this place offered, so when I saw I only got one meal, I was like surely they will help me fix this mistake. Brought it to the guy working there and he said no. Showed me the receipt from uber and declined to help me out. But if you pulled up the app you can clearly see they have buy one get one free deal, for that meal?? Didn't offer to refund half of the price or give me another meal like everyone else gets with that deal. There's a lunch special that's the same stuff for half the price?! What a loser, terrible service, didn't even argue with them, just walked out. Went home and shared the one meal...
Read moreTaste of Jerusalem has consistently been my favorite restaurant in town for years… 10 stars. It was just so fresh and flavorful; you could just tell lots of love and attention was put into the food. Last week I had a friend in town and wanted to share my favorite food with her.
It tasted like it came from the fridge at a gas station; barely any veg and definitely not fresh, dry falafel, store bought pita. It took me a while to identify what the tsaziki even was because it had no herbs, garlic, or cuc. The grape leaves tasted funky. All of our wraps/gyros only came with Sysco fries and there wasn’t even enough garlic dip (even though I ordered extra.) I about cried mourning the loss of such delicious food.
Taste of Jerusalem, why did you go...
