I absolutely love this store! The prices are competitively, the app saves you money and itâs easy to get in and out quickly but for me itâs the people. Itâs the kind elderly man named Don who was a store manager for decades and now works part time in produce. Itâs the outgoing, helpful and cashier who is aways gracious when I forget her name as Iâm doing now and has literally been in the store weekday mornings for more than 14 years who always remembers me and takes personal care of me. The store is a family and I do not believe it would be so without excellent leadership. One day I was waking through the store and I couldnât find something and an employee noticed I was struggling. He stopped what he was doing and came and helped me and we chatted for a moment and he thanked me for my business. I found out later that he (Mr. David Logan) was actually a district manager! Iâm sure he had 100 things to do that day but he made me feel like helping me was the only thing that mattered. Leadership sets the tone and clearly that have a leader who puts people first and leads by example. Maybe you could save a few bucks at Walmart but in my experience you canât always find help and now that theyâre really penny pinching youâll most likely be forced to check yourself out and bag your own groceries and my time is more...
Read moreI first became acquainted with this Winn Dixie when I was trying to locate COVID-19 immunizations for my son and myself. After calling all the pharmacies in/near Pace, where we live, I found that this Winn Dixie had plenty of vaccines, and so I easily and quickly set up appts for my son and I to receive the first, and then the second, Moderna vaccine. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly and efficient their pharmacy staff was. Just this past week I went to my PCP and he requested copies of all of my immunizations. I called Winn Dixie to request a print-out of my, and my son's, shots and Shawna answered the phone. She was so very sweet & kind, and told me that she would print them out immediately and ask the pharmacist to check them over prior to my arrival. I asked her about how much time she would need, to which she replied, "you can come on over now. They'll be ready by the time you get here." In this day and age when customer service in America seems to be at an all time low, it is so very refreshing to find an employee such as Shawna, and a company like this particular Winn Dixie which apparently takes great pride in providing exceptional customer service to their customers. I only wish I lived closer...I live in Pace...so that I could frequent this Winn Dixie on a...
Read moreI visited the pharmacy to pickup a prescription and when I approached I noticed the pharmacist and her customer was having a very in depth conversation. I smiled and stood patiently in line. The conversation continued for quite some time. Finally the woman shut up and left. The pharmacist or tech was not very friendly and most certainly did not exhibit good customer service. I don't know what it is with people who work in positions like this that think they are exempt from customer service. I don't care what kind of degree you have or what kind of new car you drive. When you work with the public you have to exhibit good customer service otherwise you are reflecting negatively on the entire company. NO ONE that works with the public is exempt from giving good customer service. Would have given 4 or 5 stars but this pharmacist or tech thought she was above giving good customer service and would rather gossip to her customers, be inefficient, and hold up the line. I'm glad I wasn't deathly ill or I probably would have died...
