Review Visit: October 29th, 2012
Chick-fil-A will Chick-fil-you-up.
Living in the Central Illinois area, Chick-fil-a was only available via commercials and advertisements (or long drives). Luckily, the day came where the one in Peoria was built and opened it’s doors to customers.
Erin, Matt and I stopped in after a day exploring Bloomington-Normal and we were famished. It was a first for all of us and we were excited to try out the place that has rave reviews and good word-of-mouth. We luckily got to Chick-fil-a when there wasn’t a long line in the drive thru or a packed lobby. Busy, yes, but not uncomfortably so. This place was swamped with people for months after it opened. We must’ve gotten extremely luckily with our timing.
In the years since this visit, I still remember how incredible delicious the food here is. I don’t remember what we all ordered but we all loved with what we got. That I do remember. The chicken sandwich was just what I needed after dragging my friend and girlfriend around Bloomington-Normal for the afternoon.
I ended up coming back in 2018 with another friend who never had it and it was every bit as delicious as it was back in late-2012.
I typically keep my reviews of nationwide chains short (barring some crazy story to share) due to many factors and this one is no exception. All there is to say about Chick-fil-a is that it is incredibly delicious chicken at a decent price. My only critique is that it leaves you wanting more after you finish your meal....
Read moreThe food has never been an issue at this store, fast food but fairly consistent, however if you don’t have decent customer service, you don’t have my business. Today my parents had the most unacceptable service (10/10/20 at around 2pm). When going through the drive thru, my mother had asked if they could just order at the board instead of with the kid as he was standing very close with his head nearly in the car, the kid responded callously, no, we're doing this today. Okay, so my mom asked if he could please back up. He said, "no, I have a mask, you have a mask, it's fine." Excuse me? How dare you? She said, well that she would appreciate if he would maintain 6ft distance, my dad (in the car) has health issues and they like to maintain their distance. He responded with some sassy remark about how the customer was always right, but that actually he was right and had just written a paper on it the night before. What?! Ridiculous and unacceptable behavior. Regardless of how you feel about the 6ft distance, just back up. No need for your attitude or opinion. If someone asks you to do so, especially a customer, you do it. Just. Back. Up. Be professional, safe, and courteous. If you cannot, you have no business in such a role that requires your interaction with people. I called to talk to the “manager” the kid that got on the phone had a careless, unresponsive attitude about it, very...
Read moreI came to Chick-fil-A for the first time in my life since a lot of people I know have been talking about it and there was this wonderful young lady, goofy personality very great! She gave me a bunch of recommendations and helped me pick sauces and a good tasting drink for my order. I couldn’t help but notice how hard of a worker she was, she also seemed like a good role model keeping people in check while the manager was on the phone! By the way the manager I couldn’t catch her name but she’s a short girl with black hair, amazing customer service! The lady that took my order, her name was Mari I believe! I came here a few more times ever since and she always greets every customer and gets them in and out with a snap of a finger! There’s a few other workers there that I couldn’t catch the names of but there’s a young man I think they were calling him Gabe, he took my order as well and he was a great employee! I’ve only been here 3 times and every time has been an amazing one! Thank you so much Mari, Gabe and that...
