Worst Chipotle I've ever been to. Went 3 days ago!
Used to be my favorite one but it's slid down the hill and fast. There was just a tiny bit of chicken and my daughter wanted a chicken bowl and me a chicken burrito. The woman (named Scarlett, which was an absolute sweetheart and the only one who I wouldn't get rid of that were there that day.) She asked a lady (tall with long braids pulled up) if there was anymore chicken as she solely also had a long line to deal with and was actually handling the pressure really well. The woman just looked at her and said I don't know then looked at us and continued cleaning. So, Scarlett just put some of the chicken that was in the pan in the burrito bowl which looked like some nasty pieces and later were exactly that. I said something and she spoke up again then the tall lady with braids just quit what she was doing and walked over and got a plastic bin of chicken and came back and dumped it in all sloppy and got chicken all over the stainless steel area that they build the burritos on. She walked away and came back a second later and made a half-as* scoop with her hands to pick the pieces up and throw them in the trash which was right by all the fresh shells and left a disgusting mess that the woman had to drag my burrito foil through to continue making it. Lettuce was brown in many areas and the guacamole was nasty brown in many areas and all over the edge of the container. You could tell that it was being added and added to and not washed out. The brown rice was very undercooked and the chicken was cold. The dining room was a disgraceful mess and we just threw our food away and left. The drink station was pathetic and everything was in disarray. My God, they need new management and employees that actually want to be there. It was truly a slap in the face to corporate and even more so to the customers. By the way, the grill was covered in black carbon the whole time we were there. No one even attempted to clean it. Everyone was just sitting standing around lost getting in each other's way doing nothing. Horrible!

Read moreEdit… I left the review below 3 months ago. It looks like they got a new manager and some new employees. It’s clean! The food is GOOD! I can actually taste the cilantro and lime in the rice! They had everything on the line the last few times I’ve been except peppers but it’s still a major improvement. I’m happy I took a chance and went back.

Listen.... this review is a PLEA to corporate or management or whoever can do something about this.
There’s hardly a sense of urgency here. For example: one time my food was prepared, the person making my food finished and called cash several times. I was waiting there for so long just to be rung out. The line is almost always dirty. I know it gets busy but sometimes it isn’t and the line is still dirty! Every time I’m here I see some form of cross contamination happening. Today, the person on the line carelessly put pork juice in the queso several times while making two bowls. There is always something wrong with their system! Either they can only accept card, scanning your rewards will lag or shut down there machine... something! It’s always something! 7/10 they are missing something on the line. Tonight I went and they didn’t have veggies, mild salsa or lettuce! Whet? They didn’t even bother to tell me at the beginning of the line that they were missing these items. You’re probably wondering why I still come at this point. It’s the closest chipotle to me and I will say that when they mess up they try to get creative or compensate you somehow. For example, they didn’t have lettuce at the end of the line but then offered me salad lettuce. I couldn’t scan my free entree reward so they just comp’d my meal. They are apologetic about their shortcomings.

In recent review of this location I gave it a quaint review by the standards mentioned but recently-about 12 days ago-I stand corrected!! To begin with I have never seen such a motley crew of inept employees. From start to finish they were playing grab a$$, ignoring customers, refused to clean or stock the dining area-no condiments or napkins-or play it any way beside their own foolish style(s). Even the manager was an a$$ clown across the board and even had the audacity to load up her plate, and walk out the door without giving any guidance or correction to any of the stand out issues I have mentioned. I loved that one of the prep cooks was working with his pants down to his knees-practically, and as usual for all the locations in the greater Peoria area were not prepared food wise. It's truly amazing that not only will the employees gander into space when you interact with them but also take no initiative what so ever to do the simplest of task!! I mean it doesn't take a lot of any effort to have a little pride in doing a good job and tend to the people who contribute towards their pay check!! Ultimately, I blame the manger for this and the food wasn't that great-usually meets standards above my expectations. I will not return until the remedy process goes into effect!! Although EP location is pretty decent they need to exercise some initiative as well. I mean what do these people do during their shift that cleaning a table or stocking the condiment area is absent from the agenda??
