Fox and Ford — Restaurant in Peoria

Loved the atmosphere and our waiter was super friendly and on top of his game. The flavors were really good. They obviously have someone in the kitchen who knows their stuff. Unfortunately I feel like they are hamstrung by subpar ingredients. I ordered their $65 ribeye. What I got was a half inch thick cut of something that would have been what I expect in a steak sandwich... Not a plated meal. I could go to any steakhouse in central IL and get a thick quality ribeye for half that price. I don't mind paying, but if I'm paying premium prices I expect premium quality. That's my only complaint. Otherwise it was a great place for date night...

The atmosphere is nice but it is not a 5 star restaurant. I know a 5 star and this is not it. The food was very bland and boring. My pork chop was dry and came with running mashed potatoes. My friend ordered the bbq sandwich and came with no bbq sauce and no Gouda cheese (that was meant to come on it). The desert was dry and tasted like cheap ice cream and it was supposed to have salted Carmel sauce that was not there. Their mocktails are $18. In town for business, I stopped by for dinner at the newly reimagined Fox and Ford at the Pere Marquette for the soft opening. A wide variety of beverages accompanies a new menu with delicious options at every price point. Service was very attentive and recommendations were well received. Don't miss out on the sides, the grilled asparagus (garlic-y) and brussel sprouts (perfectly crispy and paired with walnuts with a touch of sweetness) were delectable. I will be stopping by on future trips to explore the rest...
