Wife and I went for lunch on Tuesday. October 27th 2025. It was our first time there and it will be our last We showed up at 12:15 in the afternoon. Waited 10 minutes to see the bar made come to our table to get drinks. We were 1 of 3 tables in the whole bar that were occupied. The waitress was rude. She took our drink order and then went to walk away. I told her we are ready to order. She snapped off at me and said, I have to take their order first. First pointing to a table next to us. Okay, fine. Her tone was unacceptable. So we continue to wait another 15 minutes. Goes by, she comes and takes our order. She could not figure out the order. Tablet stood at our table for 3 minutes. Complaining about the process that she has to go through to put in our order finally, she gave up.Went behind the bar, got a pen and paper and took our order. This is where the fun begins. My wife has a dairy allergy. She ordered a Western breakfast. Had 2 simple requests, no butter on the toast. No, cheese on the eggs. From the time we walked in until the time we received our food was 50 minutes. There was only 2 other tables there with us. So our food comes out. Would you know they had cheese and putter on my wife's food? I ordered the Buffalo burger. This thing was smaller than a modern big Mac, and it doesn't even come with a side that is extra. The sandwich alone was $16. 50 cents. When my wife's food came out and we saw the cheese combined with her attitude as a waitress. And how long we took to get our food? We got up and walked out. This was by far the worst restaurant experience. I have ever had in Peoria. Area in 15 years...
Read moreWent here for dinner on Saturday. Multiple servers and food runners were clearly confused and struggling. It was entertaining for a bit but we (party of 4) waited at least an hour and a half for some overpriced mediocre food that was served cold. The waiter asked how the food was, so I mentioned that it was cold (burnt turkey ends shouldn't be cold.) He said that he would let the cooks know. Super helpful! (sarcasm.). FYI the "pretzel bites" are cheese balls breaded in pretzels or something like that. They were pretty good but they were not what was advertised and can be a problem for dairy sensitive folks.
Might be a good spot for a show or some drinks but if you get hungry, I would go elsewhere (maybe ulrichs down the block) or maybe order some taco bell.
The new building seems nice but I'd rather hunt and cook my own neon bison than return...

Just when I thought my search for the perfect place for a 7 AM drink would end in despair, I stumbled upon The Neon Bison—the holy grail of early-morning bar-goers. Who needs coffee when you can start your day with a cold one? ☕🚫🍺
This #Nashville (#peoria) gem is redefining "happy hour," proving it's never too early to kick back with great music, chill vibes, and a refreshing cocktail in hand. The best part? The bartenders are just as lively as you'd expect—probably because they've got the best job in town, serving up drinks when most people are still deciding which shoe to put on first.
If you ever find yourself awake at dawn and craving something a little more inspiring than a breakfast sandwich, trust me—The Neon Bison is your place. 🍹✨
