I drove about an hour and 15 min with my daughter to Peoria tonight to see Pentatonix. We drove up early before the show to drive through the Winter Wonderland light show before the concert so we had been in Peoria for several hours by the time the show ended and were starving. We googled places to eat (as we don't live there) and Craft 309 came up as close by and open till 11. Immediatley after the concert we went to eat before getting back on the highway, arriving at the resturant around 10-12 min to 10. The hostess told us the resturant kitchen closes at 10 so we would need to place our order quickly. That was fine with us because we knew what we wanted before we arrived having looked at the menu already. Normally we don't like eating in places about to close but we were starving and needed food before the drive home and due to dietary matters, drive throughs are a challenge for me. We told the server we were ready to order as soon as she seated us and she said she had to get another tables order first and would be back. Later she returned with water for us and said she would be back to get out order. My daughter informed her we knew what we wanted and could place it now but she left. The third time she came back she asked did she take our order yet and we told her no so she took it. About 2 min later she came and informed us the kitched refused to make our food because it was after 10 (it was 10:10 at this point so we had been there 20 min by now). I asked if she informed them it was submitted late because she forgot about us (even though she came to our table more than once just didn't take our order). She said she told them we had been in the resturant in time she just didn't realize we were there so she missed getting our order which isn't true. I understand the kitchen wants to leave but it almost feels like it was intentional that our order was not taken until it was too late. On two different occasions my daughter and I remarked that it was odd she was standing around talking to another server and another time getting drinks vs taking all the orders since the kitchen was about to close and drinks and chatting could be done after orders were sent to kitchen. It was not busy in the resturant at the time we were there. We thanked her and left and had to drive over an hour home starving. I would rather they told me at the door that The kitchen was closing and the last orders had already been taken vs how they handled it. The situation at this business left a damper on what was otherwise a wonderful mother daughter trip to have some...
Read moreWhat a train wreck. This was such a bad experience. I would never come back here. We had reservations to eat here. When we arrived there were at least 15 people cramped inside the lobby area waiting to be helped. The host?, wasn’t explaining to anyone what was happening and not providing clear answers. He would sit a party, then just walk away, it was one of the strangest restaurant experiences I have ever seen. Everyone up front was equally confused and trying to figure out what was happening. I heard him tell some walk in customers that they could be seated but might not be able to eat? We should have left when the madness up front was throwing red flags in our face. We got seated eventually and then we waited and waited and waited. At least ten to fifteen minutes later the host came over and asked if we had been helped. We hadn’t so he got our drink order, unfortunately he didn’t know basic questions about what they even served at the restaurant. We then waited at least 20 minutes for our drinks to arrive. So at this point it’s been 30 minutes since we arrived to eat and we just received our drinks. He stopped by some time later and took our food order. It took another hour to get our food. We finished our drinks before the food came and ordered more drinks while we were eating. The drinks never came. We received our bill then ten minutes or so later the drink showed up while we were waiting for someone to take our payment. We had to find someone to pay so we could leave the restaurant, we needed the second round of drinks removed from our bill and they were going to have to get us cash for the difference. I just want to reiterate, we had reservations for 4 people at five o’clock. We ended up leaving at 6:45, we had sandwiches for dinner and one round of drinks. If you don’t have the staff or management to run the fifteen tables in the building don’t seat every table or offer dinner service. It was apparent that people in the restaurant were upset. Only come here if you have 2-3 hours for dinner and want bad service. I couldn’t recommend this place to anyone, just read through the other reviews. Unfortunately this place will probably not survive unless drastic changes are made. Only send you worst...
Read moreCongratulations to the bartender/manager with all the tattoos last night - 10/7/24, I want to thank you for 100% completely outstandingly performing the absolute worst service I have ever experienced in my entire life.
Place is super nice looks like a place I would want to hang out out of town attached to the hotel, I had to keep asking for necessities as I felt like I was getting ignored on purpose and the place wasn’t even busy it seemed. Fortunately, I’m just passing through so I know to not stay at the establishment again and visit this place for food and drinks. Really I mean the upper management needs to watch the cameras, we’re waiting for food and drinks. She kept going to the same tables, repeatedly wiping them down and just 100% neglected the people at the bar. Disappearing for long periods of time. Walking past looking at empty pint glasses not even acknowledging and even asking or saying anything. Ordered wings chili and Parmesan garlic, no flavor was added they came out plain. I also ordered the barbecue chicken Pizza 15 minutes after and waited almost 2 hours before I was told the order was never put in. The other people at the bar were told that their salads were not coming out because they ran out of lettuce. The guy next to me got his meal compensated. I was told I did not wait that long and nothing would be taken off my tab I honestly think it was intentional, that’s how bad it was.
I do have one good thing to say, Rocky, the waitress jumped in at the end and 100% took control of the situation, it was her third day!! Thank you Rocky I hope after reading this they will properly train their managers or bring someone in who...
