I placed an order via Door Dash where the estimated delivery time was 18 mins. After over an hour I received a notification that my food was delivered but when I went to the door there was no delivery. Upon calling the store as directed by door dash, I spoke with a manager named Kevin who was able to void my order but told me I needed to contact door dash for a refund. When I explained that door dash directed me to the store and I wasnât able to file a help ticket with DD, he said âand as I told you, you have to contact them for a refundâ. Door dash doesnât have an option in their menu for this. After going back and forth a few times explaining this to him, I asked if there was a corporate number I could call to get help for the refund and Kevin replied âItâs on our websiteâ. I asked for his name and store number and he only would give me the cross streets and his name. I had to ask him 3 times for the store number. After which I responded in a way in which I shouldnât have and I know I shouldnât have and said âf* youâ but his response went beyond unprofessional and unacceptable and said âsame to you, ladyâ. Kevin is SO UNPROFESSIONAL and his refusal to help does not lend good customer service.
Kevin had the opportunity to handle the situation differently and offer solutions and instead he came in the phone with an attitude from the start. I understand staffing is hard right now as I also manage a small business in Peoria, however, extending grace to customers and understanding that you are providing a service goes a long way.
I am pregnant and the tuna sandwiches have been an insatiable craving and Iâve enjoyed them very much from JJ. However, this store has been a complete and total mess in the recent months. Delivery taking longer than an hour on multiple occasions, missing food, wrong food sent and all occasions, no offer to make anything right. Itâs such a disappointment because our family loves Jimmy Johnâs and this is our closest location.    Read moreWe love Jimmy John's and go to the location on Happy Valley and Lake Pleasant Pkwy often. The past 2 times we've gone, we haven't had the best experience. The first time, we got all the way home and found our subs had rock hard bread. Today, we placed a mobile order in the parking lot outside of Jimmy John's. I walked right inside and I sat inside waiting several minutes for my order as about 10 people walked in, ordered at the counter and left with their food. I eventually walked up to the employee handing out the food (who ignored me for a couple of minutes) and asked if this is where mobile orders were picked up. They said no and directed me to a location near the front door. I had been sitting there for at least 15 minutes and no one asked what I was waiting for. I walked over to the mobile order pick up area and my bag wasn't there. There was another customer waiting there in the same situation. We compared our emails and we had both ordered exactly 20 minutes prior. Both of us got in line at the counter and both of our bags of food were behind the counter. I was told they hadn't had time to put it out yet. There was no apology offered. I had my husband and 2 screaming toddlers in the car who eventually fell asleep in the car. If you're a parent, you know if your kid falls asleep in the car, they won't go down for a nap later. It affected the whole rest of my day. I understand things happen but the fact that I saw at least 5-6 different employees walk by and no one acknowledged how long I had been sitting there or thought to ask me what order I was waiting on AND no one offered an apology after I brought it to their attention is what makes me think twice before going back to this location. First off, you could eat off their floor, it is kept so clean.
Second the food is fabulous, made exactly the way one requests it, but what makes this jimmy Johns stick out is the fabulous employees...
it starts at the top, the general manger jj is unlike ANY gm I have ever encountered...being in the business for over 20 years, I know competent, and am able to within five minutes can comprehend how their establishment is run and this one is run with ease care and making sure everyone has an APlus experience.
Being acknowledged when one comes in by name, asking about one's day and doing what they are able to do to put a smile on one's face is exactly how jj has trained their staff along with their fabulous ast manger Frank .
This restaurant is unlike any others as it's like one big family and you're coming into their home and they are taking care of you!
Please do yourself a favor, go to this jimmy John's and go experience what I do every time I go in there. I bring my granddaughter and they always make her feel so special!
