We placed our order at the drive thru on March 12, 2025. We waited 5 to 10 minutes to order as there was one car ahead of us. We ordered the 8 piece not spicy with mashed potatoes and coleslaw with a side of macaroni and cheese. It was 7:15 and we were advised they were out of macaroni and cheese and it would be a 20 to 25 minute wait for the chicken. My husband said okay and we drove around to the window. Our meal was 38 dollars and some change I believe. The Popeyes employee advised that he could not give us back all our change ad he was out of change in his drawer and did not give us a receipt.. All we could say was okay. After waiting over 25 minutes we finally were handed some food. The car in front of us was still waiting for food and there was a car parked waiting for food. The person that helped us in the drive thru came out and talked to the person in the car that was parked waiting and the person in the car in front of us. When we got back to my husbands parents house, there was 3 individual orders of mashed potatoes, the coleslaw cup was half full. When my 85 year old mother-in-law took a bite of them chicken it was spicy. After we waited all that time for chicken we were given the wrong chicken!!!!! Very poor customer service, food was horrible. I would appreciate a number for the corporate office to file a complaint. I looked and found a number but you don’t get a person and the process to file a complaint online is ludicrous! I noticed in looking at other reviews that whoever responds to the reviews has a generic response. I sincerely hope whoever the manager/owner is cares about how their employees are representing their business. I can say we will never come back to this Popeyes. If this is the standard for food and service, I doubt you will be in business...
Read moreI don't understand why this location can not make it. Under staffed and the staff they do have are rude and unprofessional. Placed a mobile order and waited for the time it was supposed to be ready. Get to the drive thru and nobody was in line as a car just pulled off. I waited and was finally told I needed to come inside. I told the lady I was just picking up a mobile order and she says it's a shift change and I still needed to come inside. At that point I already knew things were going from bad to worse. I get into the store and there is one employee walking around like she didn't know where she was. The other was all the way in the back and finally came forward to wait on a lady with her 2 grandkids. Another lady came in after me and looked to be picking up a mobile order also. While the grandmother was ordering a very large order another employee strolled in and preceded to walk past the employee at the register even though she needed help. The other employee was still walking around like she didn't know where she was. It was at that moment I walked out and said I would never be back. I had already paid through the mobile app and didn't care. At what point will Popeyes realize that if they don't keep a close eye on the Peoria locations things will be a mess. Do...

9/10 trips there they're out of food. Today was my final straw...
Handed me my food at the window after a half hour or longer wait. Everything had been rung up correctly. Employee confirmed verbally what the drinks were when she handed them to me, but my coke ended up being a diet coke. Told me while handing me the food that the strips weren't spicy because they were out of spicy (but they had been rung up spicy and confirmed verbally at the speaker). The sauce for the strips that she rung up on the speaker weren't given to me. Didn't even give me my strawberry biscuits. My dark meat 3-piece was 2 dark/1 light. No point in driving back just to wait another 30-45+ minutes (as has happened any time food has been incorrect in the past).
Waste of time and money every time I've been there. The foods always alright but rarely accurate. Always leave too frustrated to enjoy the food, of its even something I like (since accuracy is a shot in the dark here).
Ownership needs to consider managing the store themselves if they're unable to hire trusted management. At this point I'd be thrilled to hear this location went out of business so another restaurant could open... Perhaps they'd manage to give you want...
