I’m posting this review for my Mother Jennifer who was in the restaurant the morning of Saturday November 5th — My family came in town for the final cross country meet for my Nephew and decided to have a nice meal before the meet. I left my tan Gucci purse at the restaurant in a hurry on accident. (Yes I know that’s my bad) I called as soon as I noticed and was told they FOUND my purse and would put it somewhere safe. So we turned around to head back. After 45 minutes we arrived back and a partner helped us. It seems there was a shift change in between us calling and arriving back at the the restaurant. He and a very sweet waitress searched all over with no luck whatsoever and did not understand why my purse was not in their safe or office. So he took our information and we went to the meet for cross country. We returned after the run and spoke to 2 different employees that said they BOTH seen it hanging on a hook. The bartender stated he had seen it as well but still no sign of my purse they claimed they found. Yet everyone here has seen it but no one “knows” where it is. The stories were not sitting straight so we called the police. The police met us at the restaurant and asked to view their cameras and they claimed they had a power outage so had no cameras to view. The police officer along with my husband and I both questioned why would you not put a purse away and instead leave it in plain sight. The bartender said yeah I know medications and keys and some other things were in there. He then stated where he would have put it if he found it which is funny because you knew what was in it so you clearly had it in your possession. The police advised them to question their employees and would be contacting people who look at liquor license since they could not let the officer view the camera footage. ALSO o hope you’re aware that anything stolen over $300 is considered a FELONY in Illinois. Considering the purse alone was just about 4 times that you’re in for a rude awakening if the police find out that it was you. PLEASE just turn it it and no questions will be asked. That purse was from my daughter and it held a lot of my important items. — We live three hours away and I had to go without my medication, I am a drug and Alcohol officer myself and the keys to my facility were in that purse, sentimental jewelry was in that purse, etc… you really did a number on me. We all felt with the different stories this was an inside job. We will continue pushing as long as it takes and I will continue posting reviews any chance I get. I’m not mad at the owners but I really really suggest you look into your employees and fix this. I hope whichever employee took my purse needed my medications more than myself. Adding a similar photo of the bag to keep an...
Read moreDisappointing experience. I've been here before and remembered it as a great place. I recently was in Peoria for the night and really wanted to go back here.
I got a steak sandwich and the two other people I was with got a burger and a hot beef sandwich. The food was good, not great. My steak sandwich came with nothing on it. Literally bun and meat. I was asked if I wanted steak sauce but I declined. I paid more for onion rings and they had no flavor at all and were dripping grease. The burger was apparently good. The beef sandwich was also disappointing, it was only meat and cheese. The burger was "allowed" three topping s for free. There was a charge for anything more including ketchup and mustard.
Everything at this place was a charge. I was charged for a 2oz cup of ketchup. The menu is covered in uncharges and rules about what you can get. We were very confused. I would understand if the prices were reasonable but I don't think they were. My steak sandwhich, onion rings, and ketchup was just over $15.
I hope they can make a few small changes to make their customers feel more welcomed. I do want to point out that our waitress was friendly and attentive. You could tell she was just doing her job the way she was...
Read moreWent in with a small party of friends, excited to try as I somehow have never heard of this place. I was excited as one friend talked highly of this place. I was hopeful despite two other friends in that same group claiming to have had bad service the weekend before, but they had decided to give it another try. I entered the establishment and thought it was beautiful! The greeter at the door was less than desirable however as he greeted us unenthusiastically and with a snide remark. I overlooked it. We got to our table where we were met by a waitress with glittered eye shadow. She gave roller derby vibes and attitude. She continued to reach over people, slamming plates in front of them. She did not greet anyone. When the manager was pulled into the conversation, the waitress antagonized the group and two of the customers by getting in their faces, arguing, and waving them out of her way. The manager could care less. He excused his employees behavior. Mind you, I was a spectator as this all unfolded. I did not engage because I saw where it was going. The nachos I had were lack-luster. And that was before these events unfolded. My first experience should’ve been a good one, but staff and food just...
